A quaint traditional family lakefront cottage. 300 ft of waterfront on 'Big Squam Lake', with beautiful views, sunsets, wildlife, and mountains. Enjoy the sandy beach and swim platform. Our rental includes a dock for your boat, use of 2 kayaks and several canoes. Boat ramp and Sandwich Town beach are just minutes away by foot! Enjoy hiking the many nearby trails of the White Mountain National Forest and the Squam Range. Two miles to Center Sandwich and 5 miles to Center Harbor for easy access to shopping, dining and groceries. Enjoy roasting marshmallows over an open campfire steps from the water. Relax with a book in the hammock while listening to call of the loons. Create your own memories on 'Golden Pond'.

Squam Lake is the site of the movie 'On Golden Pond'. The cottage is located on the north end of Squam Lake, two miles from the quaint town of Sandwich, NH. Our lakefront home has magnificent sunsets, lake and mountain views. It is a short drive to Sandwich Center, Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Meredith and Weirs Beach. The rental includes the use of kayaks and canoes free of charge, there are some life jackets available, however you may want to bring extras. There is no cable or web access. Eagle Cliff Trail is within walking distance from the cottage, where you will see breathtaking views of the lake. Wake to the sound of reveille playing from nearby Camp Hale at sunrise and wind down to the sound of taps playing at sunset. It is a great place to get away from it all!
