Located behind the historic Dorset Marble Quarry, Dorset View is perched on a hillside overlooking mountains and meadows. Away from it all, yet convenient to the Dorset town green and Manchester Center. In the Winter months, enjoy Alpine skiing at Stratton, Bromley, Magic or Okemo. Cross Country skiing, ice skating or sleigh rides are also close by. Half-season and quarter-season shares as well as weekend/ weekly rates currently available for Winter 2009-2010 ski season. In the warmer months, enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming at the Dorset Marble Quarry, fishing, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, horseback riding or golf all close by. The area also has a number of cultural activities with many museums, galleries and the Dorset Playhouse. With the Manchester Designer Outlets, the Orvis Flagship Store and many locally owned and operated shops, Manchester Center is home to some of the best shopping in the Northeast.

Near the headwaters of three major trout streams. Close to several public golf courses. Located a half mile up the hill from the historic Dorset Marble Quarry.

The condo was a perfect Pottery Barn photo. The property was immaculate.The information provided by the owner was helpful and he was available to answer questions anytime. There are fabulous restaurants in the area like at the Dorset Inn, Bistro Henry, The West View Inn. The Southern Vermont Art Center has a wonderful gallery and workshops in the summer. Of course, there are the shops in Manchester.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
