Hi Lou and Kristin,
Whew! Now that we aren’t so consumed with planning and guests etc. can take a moment to thank you properly for your hospitality. Your home was just perfect for our wedding – from accommodations for us and our helper elves (friends) , to the natural and architectural environment for the wedding and reception. Your home provided the very special location while still being comfortable for everyone. The day, the place, the whole package was far more than we could have ever asked for! We’ve actually received many votes from our guests for “The Best Wedding Ever”. We’re basking in the afterglow. A lifetime of memories to enjoy.
And now, since you asked for pictures…I’m sending you a link to a gallery our photographer friends made. You may want to scroll across the bottom to get the pictures that interest you most. If there are pictures you are interested in using for Red Wolf rental promotion materials, let us know and we’ll get the files to you.

We happend to get lucky and grab this slice of heaven at the last minute! Our original plans to visit Big Sur for the weekend fell through...we somehow grabbed this slice of heaven during one of the busiest weekends. Our visit was for three days and we only got in the car once. The rest of our visit was spent enjoying our amazing view, the peacefulness of the house, hiking the surrounding area and just blissing out. The design of the house is so beautiful, yet so functional. A very fluid feel to the entire property. We felt very much at home in every space and we slept like babies. It was so much fun watching the AT&T Golf tournament from the telescope. Both Lou and his property manager took amazing care of us. We hope to go back very, very, very soon!!
This beautiful retreat was perfect for our annual small family business getaway. Our group of 3 families with 9 adults, 2 children and a dog felt very comfortable with plenty of private space and well-designed common spaces. Only 1.5 hours from the South Bay, we had time to enjoy this incredible home with its stunning views and all the amenities in the area like Pt Lobos State Park and Carmel.
The home is on two levels with two suites on the lower level and two on the upper. The lower level has its own den with views and a comfy place for kids to hang out. The kitchen has a nice layout with luxury features like refrigerator drawers and an espresso machine. But the most impressive feature is the large patio outside the living-dining area with its expansive views of Carmel and the ocean. The view changes throughout the day - deep blue ocean surf and rocky coastline to billowy banks of fog rolling over Carmel to the lights of Carmel at night. Gorgeous. On the other side of the living-dining area is a large, serene patio with a koi pond. With a bbq grill, its perfect for dining al fresco. The home was designed with passive solar heating and warms up quickly during the day. But when the doors on both sides of the main living area are open, the fresh air breezes through keeping the temperature comfortable. When the outside temperatures are cooler, there's cozy radiant heating.
We have this property on our list and plan to bring out of town guests and family here in the future. Luis, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful as was Lou, the owner.
We recently got married at the Point Lobos Ridge Estate and stayed there with friends and family the week leading up to our wedding! My husband & I wanted to find a home exactly like this estate to rent for our wedding and although we had a very difficult time finding it at first (we almost lost hope and switched gears) When we came across this home, we knew immediately that this was the location for our wedding, it was absolutely perfect and honestly beyond perfect! Lou and Luis were both fantastic to work with during the planning and booking stages....Luis was awesome the entire time, he took over with all questions/concerns and made our visit the most amazing vacation/wedding anyone could ever ask for. The home was clearly built and decorated to the highest possible degree with no details left un-noticed. The house was warm and welcoming and when we arrived fresh flowers greeted us. The house was completely stocked with every possible item that you would need (besides food) but we were greeted with some great wine, cheers to that! The day of the wedding came and as our guests arrived they were in aww as we were when we first saw the house. We received so many compliments on how casual but classy our wedding was. Everyone felt comfortable and laid back and had such a great time! Ed the security guard was awesome too...Sorry my brother was obsessed with wanting to "playfully" put you in a head lock...LOL...Pretty classic! We were told it was the best wedding they've had at the house, and I pretty much think they're right :) I can go on and on about how amazing the house is but I think people would get bored. Basically it's a dream home that I would love to live in if I could...Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us and allowing us to get married there. Even the fog that rolled in was magical! Being ABOVE the fog was absolutely stunning. Job well done on this estate.

Reserved this home for my corporate client to do some entertaining of their top executive customers for the second year in a row.
The homeowners are absolutely amazing - attentive to every detail. They ensured that my client felt at home. They shopped for our guests so that they had the requested amenities when they arrived, they served wine from their vineyard (amazing) and arranged for an amazing private chef dinner.
The house was immaculate and beautiful, inside and out. I honestly can't say enough about how wonderfully perfect this experience was. We'll see you next year!!!
This exceptionally beautiful, spacious home was perfect for my family event. The views are breathtaking from high above Carmel Valley but it's close enough to visit the Monterey Aquarium and Downtown Carmel. The central living/dining room and two patios are large and furnished with lovely art pieces and plants. There is an additional living room downstairs where our teens watched movies while we enjoyed wine and music upstairs. The BBQ and electronics worked without problem and each of the four bedrooms has a private bathroom. The kitchen has a nice gas stove and plenty of refrigerator space.
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful vacation home this past September. The house is gorgeous, the view is amazing and the owners of the house (Lou & Kristin) were delightful. The house is located on top of Point Lobos Ridge, minutes away from the closest restaurants and super markets but far away from the busy Carmel/Big Sur tourist traffic. Google Maps won't get you to the house but owner's direction got us there in no time. We spent most of our nights gathered around the open kitchen and the big dining table, barbecuing outside or making soup stews. The kitchen is well equipped with necessary utensils so we had no problem whipping up gourmet meals throughout our stay. It was a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in this great town and we would recommend it highly!

Enjoy the unique microclimate is 10 – 15 degrees warmer than Carmel and high above the fog. Sunrises and Sunsets are 360 degrees and Carmel Village lights up the night below as the fog treads it’s way through the Valley. Thousands of acres of California State Parks open space surround this property. (note green park land on Google Map) Large open space allows for little ambient light creating an abundance of stars and planet viewing.
Other Activities: kayaking, wildlife viewing, rock climbing, health/beauty spa, shopping, boating
