Bob and Ellie both were born, went to school, and got married betweeen New York City, the Hamptons, and Connecticut, but our story really begins with Bob's father who sailed his 1948 Alden Schooner down to the Caribbean. Passing by St. Lucia, he saw the perfect spot to call home. Bob inherited his father's love of adventure and the sea and he & Ellie enjoy Villa Mandoo when it is not being usesd by guests. Our son, Brett and daughter, Cara, also visit annually with their spouses and all the grandkids. We have a blast snorkling in the cove, swimming in the pool, taking hiking trips all over the island, and of course, walking over to the Winjammer Landing Resort for Happy Hour!
Mr. Morgan, Sr. chose to build on Couti Cove because the property sits on a saddle of land, with sea views north and south and offering an almost constant tropical breeze. A 5 to 15 minute drive will get you to most of the activities visitors would enjoy on a 'daily' basis: beaches, restaurants, shopping, golf, hiking, riding, kite sailing, as well as the smaller airport in Castries, George Charles. We like to take day-long excursions to visit the Pitons and some of the other nature attractions farther south, but be located in the north where more is going on. We can walk down to our cove for snorkling, over to the sandy beach across the peninsula in 5 minutes, or around the corner to the Windjammer with watersports, shops and restaurants in less that 10 minutes.
