There is a distant waterview from the third floor bedroom.With a huge amount of living space and large open areas, this home is well suited for two families. A 32 ft high great room with vaulted ceilings is surrounded by two walls of glass and open to the dining area, lending itself to superb entertaining. A beautiful marble fireplace creates a focal point from both the living room and dining room. A fabulous gourmet designed kitchen is fully equipped with top appliances and all the necessary kitchen essentials to cook a great meal. This home is located on beautifully landscaped property with a large landscaped backyard. It is only a half a mile to South Beach along a walking and bike path. In addition it is only a five minute drive to downtown Edgartown.

Why Andrea chose Katama

Great location near town and beach: It is 7/10 of a mile to South Beach along a walking and bike path. In addition, it is only a ten minute bike ride or a five minute car ride to downtown Edgartown. This beautiful town offers one of a kind shops, great restaurants and beautiful views of the bay. The house is in walking distance to the Katama grass strip airport and The Right Fork Diner. It is a great place to have breakfast or lunch and watch small planes land and take off. The house is also in close proximity to the Farm Institute which offers visitors an opportunity to explore and realize the significance of agriculture historically and in our current time. Classes are offered daily or weekly for adults and children of all ages. Also the famous Morning Glory Farm is only a few miles down the road offering the freshest baked goods and produce that the island has to offer.
