Welcome to Casa Amor, our love nest for ten years has been converted into a vacation rental for you. We are located just two blocks from upper Duval Street…home to a multitude of restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, piano bars and historic residences. You are within easy walking distance of beaches, the Southernmost Point (only 90 miles to Cuba!), the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, the Hemingway House and more. Our spacious, “Contemporary Caribbean” home is a recipient of the prestigious Ceramic Star for architectural preservation excellence. It was featured on the House and Garden Tours sponsored by the Old Island Restoration Foundation in 1997 and 2003. Lush gardens surround a beautiful pool with a waterfall. A large poolside loggia is fabulous for dining and entertaining. High privacy walls ensure peace and quiet.

  • Our home has two and a half baths equipped with elegant modern fixtures as well as an outdoor shower. The master bath has a soaking tub; a perfect way to relax away a portion of your day.

  • Our three large bedrooms each have a king-size bed. Two of the large bedrooms are on the first level of the home. A sexy spiral staircase leads to the second floor with a master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet. The floors upstairs are a combination of rosewood and travertine marble while the lower floors are a gorgeous polished concrete.

The ceilings soar in the first floor living areas. A reading room overlooks the gardens. This leads into the great room with a bank of wall-to-wall windows which open to the loggia and overlook the pool and gardens. The gourmet kitchen opens over a breakfast bar to the living and dining area for easy, casual entertaining. The large living room provides lots of seating comfort as well as a 47” flat screen TV. The DVD/CD unit provides surround sound throughout the house.

Casa Amor is fully out-fitted from pots and pans to luxury linens. Off street parking is available. But, feel free to leave your car at home. You can easily walk, bike or take a Pedi-cab anywhere in Old Town Key West. Amble down our by-ways; view homes that range from Victorian mansions to cigar-maker cottages. Find your own treasures, from Nancy’s Secret Garden, to the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center to the libations and gorgeous water view provided on the After-Deck at Louie’s Backyard. Every bit as good as the photos!

Being in real estate myself, I'm overly critical of properties.. particularly when they are not as wonderful as the photos and the descriptions indicate. This however was NOT a disappointment. We came down in a group of 4 and found the house to be the perfect distance to Duval Street (for nightlight); we walked everywhere. The only drawback (and it's a very small one) is that the pool is very shaded, so not necessarily a great space to 'catch the sun'. But it is private... and the perfect place to hang out and have cocktails (and we did plenty of that!). Definitely check it out... we'll be back for sure.
