The huge captivating waterfall with impounding waters that flows over solid granite 60 ft. wide. & 350 ft. high can be seen and heard from about every room of the condo, and the cool fresh air, the lush green mountain peaks & the roaring mist from the waterfall is phenomenal from your own back deck. Mountain porch furniture & swing are yours to enjoy while grilling out on the gas grill over looking the falls. A fantastic place to watch the birds, read a book, or just plain feast your eyes on the beauty and smell the fresh air. At night you can view the moon rise above the mountain peaks from your back deck & watch the lightening bugs play around in the dark.

Notes: Please note, we do not supply paper products, although we do start you off with paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, hand & body soap. There are hundreds of waterfalls, picnic areas, streams, trout fishing, horseback riding, fantastic site seeing & picture taking, hiking trails, gem mining, antiquing, rafting, canoeing, golfing, zoo, snow skiing & tubing to keep you busy. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area; matter of fact, you can walk right up the hill to eat at 'The Tavern on the Falls' along with live music on the week-ends - they even serve breakfast ! How accomodating is that? Visit the small, picture perfect towns and shop til you drop. Only 45 min. from Ashville you can visit the Builtmore Estate or drive on the Scenic BlueRidge Parkway through Pisgah Forest. Gorges State Park & the Toxaway Community Center (fantastic, live music on Fri. nites-) is just up the road. There are also many churches in the area to your choosing.

This rustic, unique condo has earned its name with its friendly bears hibernating inside this cozy hideaway! The large master bedroom offers you that same panoramic view of the falls and mountains & has a king size bed, stone fireplace, satellite TV, telephone, sitting area, & adjacent spacious master bath w/tub & shower. From your bed at night you can see the full moon or wake up to view the beautiful sunrise peeking over the mountain tops . The combined living and dinning rooms are spacious & cozy with that rustic decor & stone fireplace. The living room has a new queen size sofa bed, 2 comfortable lazy boys, a room full of bears, moose, & raccoons to keep you company, not to mention the year round sparkling spruce tree decorated with lights & all the forest animals.

Another full size bath is located off the dinning room and is handy for guest. The kitchen is fully equipped and lacks nothing! It opens to the dinning & living area so you can socialize while cooking or watching TV. Did I mention there is a fantastic restaurant just up the hill to chill out and pamper yourself while eating out or just have a cocktail & listen to some live music? How accommodating is that? Want breakfast? They serve that too! The condo is equipped with all your needs, plus a washer & dryer, iron & ironing board, & hair dryer.

If you decide to go for a swim, the condo has a swimming pool as well. It is located behind the gift shop at the top of the hill and around the bend. Don't forget to look into white water rafting and other water sports in the area. Whatever you choose to do, you will experience by far the most perfect environment for a mountain getaway and leave refreshed while planning your next trip with us.
