Fantastic Location

The view from this home was fantastic. We come from an area where the water is BROWN! I had several questions (as I usually do when going on vacation) and Claudia & Richard were great about answering ALL of them. The house is an older house but we had everything we needed and we were told to call if we needed anything. Needless to say, we never called. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The location was the best thing about this vacation home. It always looked crowed up and down the beach except for a few people right in front of the home. You could see the condo beach goes all crammed in their areas but never had to fight for a spot on the beach, mainly because we were always in the water. They did have plenty of chairs and umbrellas and toys for our use. The umbrellas were a bit old but we made due with a piece of rebar that was left in the garage (along with the chairs & toys). Washer & dryer are downstairs in the garage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms had their own bathroom which was great. There are only 2 TV's. One upstairs and 1 downstairs in the living rooms so we brought our own small TV and DVD player for late night movie viewing. There are no cable outlets in the bedrooms but we already knew this (thanks to Claudia). There were books everywhere so if you are a reader, no need for a TV. All kinds..you name the type, it was there. The outside shower was fantastic for rinsing off! A word of warning.....WEAR FLIP FLOPS OR SANDLES. The sand there is extremely HOT! While on deck at night, we saw people with flashlights all up and down the beach. Apparently crabs come out at night, so if you young children, bring a flashlight. There are pails in the garage. From sitting on the deck, the house to you right is obstructed by palm trees so you can't even see those people and the house on the left is farther back so it is like you are out there on your own. Plenty of chairs on the deck and a couple of loungers. We usually bring a canopy for uncovered decks but we forgot but by the early afternoon, you didn't even need it. The only grocery store is the Blue Marlin a few blocks up the road but Wal-Mart is just over the bridge. 10 minutes tops. We walked to several shops from this house. People are walking everywhere at night and we always felt safe when venturing out at night.
I would rent this home again in a heartbeat.
