Lounge on Tommy Bahama furniture & beds made w/ Egyptian cotton sheets. Enjoy a quiet book or lively game in the ship's watch loft. Be surrounded by sunny skies and clear ocean views - even from inside, thanks to plentiful windows & an open floor plan.

Just a short walk to the beach - we've supplied a beach cart, chairs, boogie boards & sand toys. At Monteray Shores Clubhouse enjoy the pool, playground, fitness room & kids' activities. We're just steps away from some of the Outer Banks' finest shops & restaurants. You'll love it here!

Added Bonus:

We offer Early Arrival at no additional cost! This is unusual for the northern beaches, where almost every other home has a 4pm check-in. There is one main road in and out of the area -- as it gets closer to that 4pm arrival, all that traffic can really back up. Our earlier check-in allows you to beat most of the traffic crossing onto the island and up the coast.

Plus, the last thing you want to hear after a long drive (with kids especially) is that you have to wait for the key ~ we know this from experience and wanted to offer a better experience for our guests.

Our solution: we use a keyless entry system. Once our housekeeper finishes cleaning the home after previous guests depart, she will program your personal key code. You might arrive early and find that your key code is working! Welcome ~ you are free to move in at that time!

If you arrive and your code does not yet work, you can visit the Clubhouse to pick up your wristbands and enjoy the playground & pool (or at least use the potty!) If you choose to head down to the beach for a little while, you can change in the outdoor shower stall at the house.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday weekend getaway. The owner allowed a 3 night rental and was very responsive to all inquiries. The exterior was a little weathered compared to the neighboring properties and the photos but the price was right and the interior was satisfactorily comfortable. The owner is great and sent helpful info on activities in the area. We had a good time and are looking forward to future trips to the Outer Banks. We didn't see the wild horses but did enjoy the sand dune gliding and the Wright Brothers Memorial as well as dinner at Flying Fish in Kill Devil Hills.

Excellend value, great house

Our group of 8 recently spent a week at the property during our children's spring break. We loved every minute of it. The house is beautifully designed to take advantage of the great location and unobstructed views of the ocean. It is also nicely decorated with abundance of room to lounge and entertain. Monteray Shores has lots of area for biking, walking and, also, has excess to the bay for crabbing. We found enough to do in the area, wild horse safari was our favorite as well as Jockey Ridge Park with an amazing dune system. The rental process was easy, the owners were cooperating and the house was exactly as described on the website. We will be returning or recommending this property to our friends. "Thank you" to the owners.
