Na Timonera, with its about 30000m² big land, lies nestled in the unique landscape of the south-east of the island, between S'Alqueria Blanca (2.5km) and the romantic harbour of Porto Petro (2.5 km). The picturesque, sandy bay of Cala Mondrago with its fine, white, sandy beach is 3 km away.
Na Timonera has lush, exotic gardens, in which the unique, green-tiled pools are found, which are connected at different levels through waterfalls. They are nestled in nature like a seascape and a stream flows even into the interior of the house.
From the various terraces, the view opens up into the nature and pine forests across the distant sea and the white silhouette of Cala D'Or.
The building of Na Timonera offers spaciousness and comfort on approx 600m2 of living space. Indigenous natural stone, terracotta and many different woods give the house warmth and unpretentious individuality.
Over 300 lattice windows flood the house with Mediterranean sunlight and offer views of the surrounding area at all times.
Five very different double rooms with toilet / shower room guarantee privacy and relaxation.
The bedrooms are equipped with hairdryer, safe, mini fridge, CD-MP3-USB player, 'one cup' coffee maker, umbrella and flashlight. Suite, loft and master bedroom also have TV, the loft also has a DVD player.
Upon entering Na Timonera you get into the living room, which is divided into the entrance with separate guest toilet, living room with a large open fireplace, dining and the loft with TV, lounge and library.
If necessary, a sofa in the TV lounge can be transformed into a double bed (160x200cm).
Through a short passage you can enter into the spacious, Mallorcan-style brick kitchen (completely renovated in 2014). It is equipped with:
-5 burner gas stove with extra wide oven
-refrigerator - freezer combination
-coffee machines (Senseo, Nespresso, filter machine, Italian coffee maker)
From the living room you can reach the pool terraces, comfortable, covered chill-out lounge and also covered, outdoor dining area with additional refrigerator. On the upper pool terrace there is also a large brick barbecue and a separate wood-fired oven.
From the kitchen patio with pool access, two bedrooms can be reached.
The small, cosy double bedroom (160x200) has a separate shower room / toilet.
The double bedroom (160x200cm) has an extra single bed (90x200cm) if needed. The shower bathroom and the separate toilet are 'en-suite'. A large wooden gate separates the private patio from the driveway with its flower beds and goldfish and water lily ponds with shimmering dragonflies.
The suite is reachable through a water passage from the living room.
This area is divided into a bedroom with built-in bed (160x200cm) and Jacuzzi sunk into the floor, fireplace, terrace with pool access, bathroom with 2 sinks and large, open, walk-in shower (completely renovated in 2013), dressing room (a baby bed is available here), separate toilet, tower room and tower terrace.
The unique architecture with arches and a dome is reminiscent of the Moorish past of Mallorca.
Through the suite and garden pathways you can get to the loft. This spacious area is built on the stone walls of the 400 year old finca and is distinguished by its unusual, large lattice windows. An open fireplace provides comfort and warmth even on cloudy days.
The loft is divided into bedroom; Canopy bed (180x200cm), living room; 280cm wide leather sofa and dining area with open kitchen (gas stove, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle). A separate bathroom / toilet has a large walk-in shower. (Kitchen and bath renovated in 2013)
In front of the Loft is a terrace with dining table and electric sunroof, sun loungers are available.
Through the loft, or across the garden it leads to this small, cosy double bedroom with its natural stone walls and large windows. The bathroom / toilet is 'en-suite'. There is an additional single bed (120x200) available.
Terraces and patios:
The pool is surrounded by two sun terraces with optionally up to 10 beds. Here in addition to the vegetation, two large, square parasols provide shade.
The patio open to the pool on one side has a seating corner and penumbra.
The small patio from the master bedroom gets shade from late morning under the awning.
The suite terrace is located in the penumbra of a large, wild olive tree.
The small tower terrace offers no shade.
The patio of the entrance area with seating corner has a large parasol.
The spacious terrace of the loft is protected from the sun by an electric fabric roof.
Another small loft terrace with natural stone table does not have a sun roof.
Na Timonera is located in a quiet, countryside location away from the tourist flows. Occasionally, a shepherd drives his flock to a neighbouring pasture and you can hear the ringing of the bells of the sheep and a rooster from a neighbouring estate. In the summer you can also hear cicadas besides the numerous singing birds.
The approach is through a romantic dirt road, slightly bumpy in part.
Weekly markets in the surrounding towns and villages offer fresh, seasonal vegetables and fruits from local farmers and the many easily accessible supermarkets in the area guarantee a steady supply of all necessary materials (even on Sundays).
The property has its own, about 70m deep fresh water wells (annually inspected mineral water quality), from which even the pool and some other facilities get water supply.
A central heating guarantees a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere in the cooler months, in addition to the three fireplaces.
