Referred to as the mahogany cottage, designed like a boat's interior with exposed mahogany beams and extraordinary detail. Two fireplaces, living room, kitchen, one bedroom and two bathrooms. The deck and house look out on several miles of river views with small islands - wonderful for kayaking. 8 miles south of the market town of Damariscotta. This idyllic cottage and 45 acres has a heart and soul like no other. My guarantee: You will feel like you have 'arrived'.

Magnificent Mahogany Cottage

After careful consideration, we've decided to move in. That's right - we can't leave. While it is true that our friends and family may miss us, think of how delighted they will be to find out they can visit us here at your magnificent mahogany cottage. We'll be sending letters of resignation to our employers so I'll need some stationary. (will stop by in the am to get some)

It was a stroke of luck finding your beautiful waterfront cottage! Thank you so much for giving us a chance to enjoy this paradise that you have built, and for all of your hospitality. I could not think of a better place to spend a week unwinding and relaxing. Some of the highlights of our trip included buying lobster from the guys at Osier's Dock, breaking a sweat running up your driveway, hiking up in Camden, dinner at J's in Portland, and especially just relaxing in front of a fire. We look forward to returning and finally having a cocktail!

The cottage is simply outstanding

We had an absolutely great time at your cottage and so enjoyed the serenity and beauty of your property. It far exceeded our expectations and it was quite easy for us to truly relax during our stay. The cottage is simply outstanding and it was sometimes difficult for us to leave during the day! This is also a great location from which to go on day trips to explore the area. We thought Southport Island, Bailey Island and Pemaquid Neck were very scenic and well worth the trips. We also thought Christmas Cove was beautiful. Our biggest surprise was Damariscotta - what a charming little village with friendly people. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for letting us have the privilege of staying here. Although we are from Nebraska, we have been coming to Maine for the past 20 plus years and, although we have found many beautiful areas in Maine during our travels, this area - and your cottage - have moved to the top of the list. We will return next year and the years to come - if you will have us! We enjoyed your company and thanks so much for showing us around. Have a great remainder of the year.
