The Great Room's multiple double French doors open up the living space onto a huge teak deck which borders the large swimming pool, outdoor pavilion and the large back yard. The deck is a great space for outdoor cooking, dining, entertaining, sunning, or simply relaxing. Every modern convenience and amenity is provided - full air-conditioning, high end Kitchen Aid stainless steel kitchen appliances including dishwasher, 6 burner gas stove, convection and microwave wall ovens, and Kitchen Aid clothes washer & drier. Entertainment facilities include DirecTV satellite service, DVD player, and CD/Radio/MP3 Player. Wireless Internet access is provided at no cost. Poui Place is a 2 story villa, and upstairs balconies off two of the upstairs bedrooms offer great views of the surrounding development and the area. It has a striking modern design with traditional elements incorporating timber-clad upper walls, a large timber louver-roofed pavilion which appears to float in the swimming pool, and a large teak deck. The different water levels in the large swimming pool (32' and 10' shallow end) make it ideal for young children of all ages. Adult non-swimmers can stand in the deep end, as the depth is only 52'. Travertine marble flooring throughout add to the sense of luxury, and the extensive use of large glass side lites and french doors make all the spaces bright and airy.
Dining in the open plan Great Room is with an 8 place teak dining set, and guests can relax on a white leather living room set in order to watch the satellite TV channels or DVD movies.
The bedrooms each have split air conditioners and ceiling fans, and central air conditioning and ceiling fans in the Great Room add to the climate control options in the event that the odd rain shower dictates that the doors and windows have to be closed.
European style touches are everywhere - from the bathrooms which have walk in showers with rain shower heads and frameless glass panels, to the high grade European vanities and sanitary ware, to the European style kitchen.
Samaan Grove Development: The Samaan Grove Development is a gated development. With 24/7 access security, Poui Place's guests can rest assured that they will enjoy quiet, peaceful, private and secure surroundings in which to relax. The development is ideally centrally located, with the most popular beaches such as Store Bay & Pigeon Point to the south-west, and Grange Bay, Mt Irvine Bay & Stonehaven Bay to the north-east are all within 4-8 km and less than 10 minutes drive away. It is located off Milford Road and is close to the Crown Point area, where there is a wide range of eating choices - from ultra casual to fine dining.
Travel Directions: From the ANR Airport, proceed east approx 3 Km along Milford Road. Turn left onto Golden Grove Road and drive approx 1 Km until you arrive at the Samaan Grove entrance and guard booth. After gaining admittance from the security guard, drive into the development. Drive time from the airport is approximately 7-9 minutes.
From the Port at Scarborough head west along Claude Noel Hwy towards Crown Point, turn right onto Golden Grove Road after passing Shirvan Road. Drive time from the port approximately 15 minutes.
A Surprise bonus - No Man's Land! To most foreign visitors and even many residents of Trinidad & Tobago, 'No Man's Land' has been a well-kept secret. This slender spit of beach on the northern tip of the Buccoo Lagoon, is accessible mainly by boat, and as a result is well known mainly to the tour boat operators, who often take their clients there for beach-side barbeques. But residents and guests of the Samaan Grove Development have exclusive land-side access to this beach, since the access road can only be entered from within the development. Visitors will enjoy the peacefulness and seclusion of the idyllic and scenic location, almost completely surrounded by the waters of Buccoo Lagoon and Buccoo Reef. The beach is ideal for children and non-swimmers, as the water is always clear and calm due to the protective reefs offshore.

Definitely a home away from home. Poui Place was/is a beautiful back drop for my wedding prep pictures and a magnificent place to host our after wedding brunch. I didn't get to visit No Man's Land with all of the wedding prep but some of my guests did and they siad that it is beautiful. We will definitely be back. Hopefully before our anniversary.
