Plusses of this property: great location, great backyard, great deck, very clean, helpful owners, A/C
Negatives of this property: very small third bedroom, very small second bathroom, no dishwasher, no access to neighborhood beach
There was so much to do in Naples and the surrounding area and we really felt squarely in the middle of it! Highlights were the beach at Sebago Lake State Park, the Dairy Bar for soft-serve ice cream, hikes at Bald Pate Mountain and Douglas Mountain, the Anglers’ shop to buy fishing gear and get advice, and renting a motor boat for the day at Naples Marina.
The house worked great for us; we had two families of four members each; the four kids (all 5 and under) fit great in the upstairs room; the adults traded bedrooms halfway through because the upstairs room with the full bed was really really small (espec for our 6’3” husbands) and neither couple wanted to spend the whole week there. Other than that, we all fit well and especially enjoyed the backyard, the fire pit, the deck ,the barbecue, the rowboat (although oars would have been great) and the dock and little beach.
When I called John on our last day about a blown fuse in the bathroom, the electrician showed up on a Harley less than 30 minutes later – great service :)!
THANKS TO JOHN AND MICHELLE! We recommend this house and area for an easy and reasonable family summer vacation!
