Heart of Blue Ridge Mountains fun

Great home, awesome views, nice quiet hillside with few other homes, huge decks & relaxing hot tub. Was nice to watch the neighbors goats & horses roam near decks. Our dog loved walking the private road this house sits on (& chasing rabbits!). Thank you for sharing your house with us on short notice. It was good to see the online photos do justice to the property. Just a minor observation about some road noise below the house, but not enough to distract from normal quiet. Home was clean and had all amenities one would need. Had fun day trips to Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Mitchell, Billy Graham's "The Cove" center, etc. Ran out of time to see the Biltmore Estate & Cherokee "Unto These Hills" outdoor drama.

Ingles is the best store for groceries and located on 19E in Burnsville, about 7 miles east of house. Small ice cream stand about 3 miles further east on 19E, just past East Yancey Middle School (closes early). Town square is cute with some nice stores and restaurants. They are widening 19E from 2 lanes to 4 lanes for miles, so there are a few spots where traffic slows down - usually less than 1 minute.

Overall was great break from hectic life and a nice relaxing environment. Book it and enjoy your stay...
