ART DECO BUILDING,PURPOSE BUILT,WELL MANTAINED,NICE STAFF AND LOTS OF SUN AND LIGHT IN THE FLAT.
Delightful junior 1 bedroom apartment with all conveniences. Outstanding location and owner is friendly and helpful We recommend it highly and enjoyed our 8 night stay.
I spent 2 months in this apartment. I recommend it! Location couldn't be better, It is in a very safe and nice area, very close to the King's Road (where there are many shops, supermarkets and the Duke of York square, that holds a farmer's market on saturdays, and it is also the address of the Saatchi Gallery), there is a supermarket almost in front of the building, which is open until late every day, it is a 10 minute walk from 2 underground stations: Sloane Square and South Kensington. It is also in a walking distance to chelsea embankment and the battersea park, the exhibition road (the museums street), the Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park and the Kensington Gardens. It is a cosy, warm and sunny flat, fully equipped. The negative things are not deal breakers, for example, the view shown in the picture is not the front view of the window (you have to look left), right in front there is another building. Most of the tv channels are not available and the shower water pressure is not very good. Besides that there is a 24 hour doorman, and they were always nice and helpful.
L'appartamento è una soluzione eccellente per un soggiorno a Londra, anche di lungo periodo. E' per due persone, ma ovviamente per periodi lunghi è più sostenibile per una persona, data la superficie. La descrizione contenuta su Homeaway è veritiera. E' in ottimo stato, viene pultito ogni giorno (lun-ven), c'è portineria con personale gentile e disponibile. Arredato con gusto e con molta attrezzatura. La proprietaria mi ha confermato che introdurrà alcuni miglioramenti, comprese alcune minime cose che però rendono più facile un soggiorno (in part. per cucinare). Bagno ok; lavastoviglie, lavatrice, forno, microonde, asciugacapelli, ferro stiro, tv-sky, dvd player, tutto ok.
La posizione è eccellente, con 2 fermate della Tube vicine raggiungibili velocemente a piedi. La zona è molto bella, con negozi di moda, antichità, ecc. e specialmente ristoranti eccellenti in King's Road, Pimlico, Brompton, (es: Painted Heron e Chutney Mary, indiani; Henon, cinese; El Gaucho, argentino; Marco Pierre White Steackhouse; Gordon Ramsey; Bibendum Michelin; La Brasserie; molti rist italiani buoni in zona, ottimi gastro-pubs, es. Cadogan Arms; Harrods vicino x chi vuole fare compere, così come Notting Hill per chi va per il carnevale) ecc. E' molto comodo per chi ama la musica, perchè è vicino ad Royal Albert Hall: si va a piedi in 15 min. Negozi essenziali proprio davanti all'immobile; altri molto comodi. Lo consiglio ad amici, quindi anche ad altri.
This large studio flat has a marvelous location in the center of Chelsea, 2 blocks from King's Road to the south, 2 blocks from South Kensington, Bromton Road where Victoria and Albert,Science and Natural History Museums are located and the famous Harrods, one of London landmarks!! Fulham Road is half block,Draycott Ave also half block,in all these streets there are good restaurants Bibendum Oyster bar,Sushi des artistes,La BRASSERIE,La POISONERIE DE L AVENUE,Gaucho,PELICANO, and all the ones in KINGS ROAD as well as cinemas ,shops and PETR JONES.There is a very good theatre in Sloane Square.
Its near to the Imperial and MUSIC COLLEGES in EXHIBITION ROAD.
It's well connected by bus 360 which stops in front of the building, taking you up to the Royal Albert Hall and Sloane Square tube station,and in the other direction to the river ,PILMICO and even to ELEPHANT AND CASTLE and the museums around.There are also all the buses in Kings Road who take you anywhere in London,from the British Museum ,Waterloo station and the CITY.
The street has all services , dry cleaners, groceries shops, Sainsbury supermarket, HAIR AND NAIL SALON,restaurants,newspaper, bus and Oyster cards refill , petrol station and parking.
Needs to be paid up front for the whole year plus a deposit of 1500 pounds to be given back a week after their departure
