Exclusive paradise at ocean-front estate.

This lovely rental is so unique and wonderful that we hesitate to write this review for fear it may be booked up when we want to rent it again. We spent 3 weeks here with our mothers and sons (age 15 and 11).

The property is beautiful and quiet with wonderful views of the sound, channel and the charming fishing village of Stonington CT! It will especially appeal to people who want to relax amid well kept gardens and the pristine private salt water pool while watching sea gulls and boats float by.

The quaint village of Stonington, CT is easily accessible by foot and bike for antiquing, shopping and good restaurants. We felt very comfortable sending our sons to town to purchase ice cream. This is not a town for those looking for exciting nightlife or mall type shopping.

The owners, who live on site are attentive, yet unobtrusive and very considerate of guest's privacy and use of the property. We were delighted to pick raspberries for breakfast, receive fresh eggs from their hens and get a golf lesson on the 9 hole golf course which is on the property. You may also fish, crab, play tennis, or rent kayaks to explore the coves and nature preserve across the channel.

The guest cottage is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for meal preparation. We enjoyed going to the Stonington dock for seafood and the farmer's market then preparing dinner which we usually ate outside.

The opportunities for easy day trips to the many area attractions are too numerous to list. We loved visiting Watch Hill, Mystic, the Florence Griswold Museum and the Saltwater Farm Vineyard.

The listing description is very accurate and the pictures can't adequately capture the beauty and charm of this rental. We have had a vacation we will never forget!
