If you like cockroaches,a swimming pool too cold for use 10 months of the year, garage sale furnishings, 6" thick mattresses and poor property management, this is the rental for you. We stayed for a month but tried to find alternate accomodations after the first week, but were unable due to the fact that we were travelling with our dog and these properties are very limited in high season.
This house is represented as being full of "luxury furnishings". This is simply not true. The home itself is nice enough as far as layout and the remodelling that was done, but very noisy from traffic . Honestly, the mattress in the master is 6" thick with springs that stick in your back. When we arrived, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. The BBQ was filthy and the dishwasher had probably never been cleaned and was reallt stinky, so I did it myself.(no apology or thanks from the owner or property manager) There were broken dishes, dirty cupboards and a poorly stocked kitchen There were cigarette butts left in the spa and planter. The DVD player did not work and the washer/dryer were in poor shape. According to the owner, the property had never been sprayed for pests, so the house and yard were full of cockroaches, until I complained, then the owner reluctently sent the exterminators. The 4th bedroom is a den without a closet or a bathroom, with 2 double beds and a TV armoire in it. To top it off, the property is not in Troon, as advertised, but an all together different neighbourhood.
Owner's Response: Several renters have stayed at our house and we have not received any complaints for this property. We pride ourselves in offering quality service and accomodations to our guests and making sure they are satisfied. We respond promptly and professionally to all requests or complaints from guests and always try to resolve issues.
The pictures of the furnishings and the property itself accurately depict this listing. The house comfortably sleeps 10 guests.
The pool is not heated and can be comfortably used 6 months out of the year as are most pools in Arizona.
The property is regularly sprayed for pests by a professional company and no evidence of any bugs have ever been found.
It is located in a very nice secluded area of North Scottsdale which is 2 blocks off the main road just north of the intersection of Pinnacle Peak and Pima.
