Beautiful, tranquil location:
This home is in the middle of Sea Pines, close to everything. A short walk or bike ride will take you to Harbor Town, the beach, Sea Pines Center for shopping, and tabby ruins of the Stoney-Baynard house. But when you arrive at the house the rest of the world is shut out, and it seems as though you're far away from the hustle & bustle. Majestic live oaks tower over the house, drooping low over the adjacent lagoon, screening the house. Tall pines create a buffer between the house and the golf course.
Wildlife abounds:
The lagoon is visited by many kinds of birds. Ducks float on top, while egrets and herons wade along the edge. Turtles sun themselves on the shore. Frogs croak in chorus at night. An alligator is almost always in residence, either sunning himself on the shore, or cruising up & down, only his eyes and snout visible above the water. An occasional osprey dives for a fish dinner. In the evening, fish leap while going after insects.
