Gandia is a charming Mediterranean town offering many shops, cafes, restaurants and places of historic interest. In contrast to the town, there is Gandia beach with its new promenade, lined with palm trees, and a wonderful sandy beach stretching for miles. In Valencia located on a narrow stretch of dunes and dense pinewoods separating the Albufera Lagoon from the Mediterranean Sea is the El Saler Golf Course, ranked among the Top 10 in Europe and Top 100 in the world. The adjacent Albufera Lagoon is a fast expense of brackish waters and rice paddies, which is also a natural reserve full of birds and wild life.
