Overview

Kennebunkport House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom, Sleeps 6, 2 full Baths, Dining, Family, Living Rm, 2 Porches, 2 Decks

Formerly rented by the U.S. Secret Service for several seasons, we are now doing weekly & monthly rentals. Our waterfront home is surrounded by water and has ocean, island and lighthouse views on a quiet tidal cove. Located on 4 acres in Cape Porpoise, a small fishing village in Kennebunkport. Our property is on the end of a private road so there is plenty of privacy. The house looks directly towards the water so at high tide you can take in the water views and feel like you are away from it all. We have our own pier and float where you can bring or rent a kayak, canoe or boat & explore Cape Porpoise Islands. A great place for kids to swim, or fish for crabs off the end of the pier. Fully equipped galley kitchen. Dining room, family room and living room with water views. Sleeps 6-3 bedrooms: master w/ fireplace & water view. 2 full baths. Back porch & deck, front porch/ deck overlooks water. Sorry, No Pets.

Less than a mile to Cape Porpoise village, you will find eight restaurants, a grocery store, library and art gallery. It is a scenic walk to the local pier where you can fish or watch the lobstermen bring in their catch. A three mile drive to Goose Rocks Beach, Kennebunk beaches and Kennebunkport center.

Wonderful time for kids of all ages...10 to 73.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely Paddy Creek house. The owners, Joan and Phil, were extremely helpful. We had rented kayaks, paddle boards, and a motor boat. When the high tide filled Paddy Creek we could adventure out into the inner harbor. Porpoise Harbor is a very beautiful place to explore. We even enjoyed the thunderous rain storm in the cozy house playing charades with our grand kids.

Great location for kayaking and relaxing

  • 5 of 5
My husband and 7 year old spent a week here and really did not want to leave. We have rented houses in Kennebunkport/Cape Porpoise for many years and this was my favorite. The waterfront location is ideal for renting a kayak and exploring the nearby islands. The house has 2 sun rooms and one uncovered porch, so there is a great place to relax rain or shine. The home is older, so it has that charm. The kitchen is simple, but very clean and has everything you need should you prefer to cook. And the owners were great at communicating and very friendly and helpful. This was the first house we rented where the towels and linens were not included, so that is an extra expense and you have to make the beds. Not great for vacation relaxation, but the linens we rented were nice (not the towels!). Overall, the location was incredible and we all had a great time.

The Absolute Perfect Spot!

  • 5 of 5
This beautiful home situated on a private cove, has a fantastic view of the water along with Goat Island Lighthouse and the other islands. As you take in the view, your troubles seem to melt away into the gorgeous sunset over the cove. The perfect getaway for sure! This home is tastefully decorated, spacious, comfortable & immaculate. The grounds are beautifully maintained and so inviting with Adirondack chairs, a swinging hammock and our favorite long dock which juts out over the calm ocean bay. This served for us, the perfect place for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

As a tour director, I am very particular about selecting the right spot for my vacation. We found this home to be in the perfect location, only minutes to beaches, restaurants, grocery store, the famous Dock Square and Franciscan Monastery. The owners are very pleasant, helpful, and go out their way to make things comfortable. We will surely be back. We highly recommend this spot. You won't want to leave!

A Peaceful and Fun Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5
Last summer, I stayed at this house for a week. It was great! I was able to take advantage of what the property and area had to offer, and engaged in many different water activities. The house was comfortable, with a enough room so that we could spread out. I was utterly fascinated by the glamorous view of the cove from the family room. Overall, I had a splendid visit. I enjoyed being able to bask under the midday sun while reveling in tranquility. N.O.

Fabulous Relaxation and Fun

  • 4 of 5
As a family who wanted to balance relaxation time with fun time, we found this house to be a perfect fit for us. The house was very comfortable and charming. Not so fancy we had to worry, but it had everything we needed. The location is so peaceful. We loved the every minute of the day. The morning was peaceful, the afternoon was full of choices for the kids, the water sports, kayaking, the ocean, bike riding, boating.... We have three kids and they all love the water. The evening sunsets are amazing. One of the nicest places for the money we have every stayed recently.

Kennebunkport....The place to be in the summer!

  • 5 of 5
We were looking for a place that was a bit secluded, nestled near the water of course but having access to lots of other places. This was is it! First the house is incredibly quaint and inviting. We felt immediately at home once we walked around....and when we sat on the couch looking out at the water through the big picture window, we knew we were at the right place. It was clean and comfortable. You can bring your own kayak or swim right off the house's pier (during high tide of course)....The town of Kennebunkport is a short drive away and has lots of restaurants and all kinds of shops (food, clothing, sundries, drug store, antiques....). Lots of local beaches that are ten minutes away. Bottom Line: Don't miss this one, its a keeper and then some.

Waterfront home with ocean, island and lighthouse views on quiet tidal cove. Located on four acres in Cape Porpoise, a small fishing village which is part of Kennebunkport. Our property is surrounded by water and is the last property on the end of a private road - so there is plenty of privacy. The house looks directly towards the water so at high tide you can sit back and take in the water views and feel like you are away from it all -- because you are! We have our own pier and float where you can keep your (or rent) kayak, canoe or boat and explore the Cape Porpoise islands. Located a mile from the center of Cape Porpoise you can easily walk to the village grocery store or to have breakfast, lunch or dinner at a local restaurant. It is also a scenic walk to the local pier where you can fish or watch the lobstermen bring in their catch. At low tide you can go clamming with a license, walk the islands and enjoy island picnics. We are also three miles to Kennebunkport where you will find Dock Square and plenty of shops, antique stores and restaurants.

A short drive (3 miles) to Goose Rocks Beach and Kennebunk beaches. You can jog, bike and walk along the beaches. If you want to get out on the water there are whale watching tours, fishing cruises and several places to rent boats, kayaks, windsurfing, scuba diving or other water sports equipment.

There are several golf courses (Par 3 and full courses) and driving ranges in the Kennebunk's including Pitch' n Put. If you like the arts you can enjoy summer theater at the Arundel Barn Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, or the outdoor evening concerts on the green in Kennebunkport center along with many local art galleries.

You may also want to visit other sites such as the Franciscan Monastery, Presidential compound, Laudholm Farm and the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge.

If you don’t mind driving 25 miles north you can visit the coastal city of Portland. You may also enjoy L.L. Bean and the outlets in Freeport, Maine, about 50 miles north of Kennebunkport.

There are also, water parks, theme parks and the York Zoo all within a half hour drive.
