Gray Gables is a village of Bourne. Historically it is known for having housed President Grover Clevelands Summer White House. Gray Gables public beach has a summer lifeguard. Travel down the causeway to Mashnee Island for a fun summer restaurant on the beach. The railroad bridge, which lowers across the Cape Cod Canal to allow trains to cross it, is less than a mile away and from that point you can walk, jog, bike, roller blade the 7 mile road along side the Cape Cod Canal where there is no motor traffic. The location is perfect because you can easily get to ferries to visit Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard, 1 hr to Boston's Logan Airport or catch a Red Sox game in Fenway Park, an hour to the National Seashore. Shopping/antiquing along 6A, visit Plymouth - America's first hometown and site of new Hollywood East. Lots to see, do and enjoy OR stay home, relax, soak it all in - the sun, water, beauty.
