Gray Gables is a village of Bourne. Historically it is known for having housed President Grover Cleveland's Summer White House. Gray Gables public beach is part of the beach this house sits on. Travel down the causeway to Mashnee Island. The railroad bridge, which lowers across the Cape Cod Canal to allow trains to cross it, is less than a mile away and from that point you can walk, jog, bike, roller blade the 7 mile road along side the Cape Cod Canal where there is no motor traffic. The location is perfect because you can easily get to ferries to visit Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard, 1 hr to Boston's Logan Airport or catch a Red Sox game in Fenway Park, an hour to the National Seashore. Shopping/antiquing along 6A, visit Plymouth - America's first hometown and site of new Hollywood East. Lots to see, do and enjoy OR stay home, relax, soak it all in - the sun, water, beauty.

Never Want to Leave

This house and location are both AMAZING. Home was clean and well furnished with every amenity. The views of the ocean and the breezes are fabulous. Steps to the water and gazing at all kinds of boats and ships makes this truly a seaside escape unlike most others. We never had any traffic issues as this home is right over the Bourne bridge. The canal walk is great for walking, jogging, biking rollerblading. It's only fifteen minutes to Falmouth and 30 min. to Hyannis. All in all, one of our most relaxing vacations. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
EVER! Oh, and the SUNSETS....unreal!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We never wanted to leave!

This house was AMAZING. We had 8 women for a girls weekend and it was perfect! We cooked dinner all three nights in the huge kitchen, had coffee and cocktails on the deck, watched sunsets each night and were all very sad when we had to leave! The pictures on this site were spot on, and it was even better in person if that is possible. Plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. and a great kitchen for a crowd. (we loved the water faucet over the stove for pasta, etc!) Every detail was thought of in this home - the master bath shower was the BEST, I never wanted to get out.
It was also a bonus that we had 80 degree days in October!
We are already looking forward to coming back next year. thanks!!

Amazing house!

We loved this house! We stayed here for our 10 year reunion. There were 8 of us (all adults) and it was the perfect size for our group. Cooking in the kitchen and eating round the table was so much nicer than eating out. Cocktails on the deck in the evening, coffee on the deck in the morning!

This is a beautiful house, very well maintained in an ideal spot, where you can stroll to the beach, get your feet wet in the little bay or just sit back and watch the boats go by.

This house is beyond over the top. Has every amenity you could have want or need. We loved everything and the sound system in the house was incredible. We had three families stay and it was perfect for us. The bay views were fantastic. Just a short mile bike ride to Dike "bay" Beach was the best. We couldn't have been happier with our first vacation to Cape Cod.

I just returned from a week long vacation in this gorgeous home. Everything about this home is amaxing. The master bedroom leaves me speechless, every room in the home is so spacious, decorated, and so homey. The best room/view in this home is the loft believe it or not. The balcony vie off of the loft is just so relaxing and breath taking. My 10yr old son napped out there, he lovef it. I strongly recommend this home to all. We certainly will be back.
