House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Take a walk in the clouds in this luxurious mountain home with expansive views of Lake Chatuge and 300 degrees of mountain scenery. Not secluded by any means -Valley and Ridges Golf Course community below are alit at night

Being centrally located we are only 10 minutes from Hiawassee and 20 minutes from Murphy. Weekly entertainment is provided at the Georgia State Fairgrounds or Funland (go-cart racing, putt-putt) only 12 minutes away. If your up for adventure 5 rafting outfitters are within 45-60 minutes from our haven. Scenic road trips to each of these are a wonder in themselves. Going through the beautiful Tusquitte Valley and up and over the state forest road(gravel)to the gorge of Nantahala, passing by waterfalls and flyfishing holes makes for one of the many exciting day trips.

Lake Chatuge is five minutes away for fishing,canoing

Excellent wide paved road up to home.

The serene beauty and magnificent views of mountains and lakes was all it took before buying our mountain home. My mother, my sister, and I just spent four nights on the top of this mountain, and it was fantastic. The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean, and it lacked for nothing. The view was peaceful and pretty and ever-changing. Mike was available by phone and very nice about answering questions and being sure that we were settled in and had what we needed. We definitely plan to go back again.

Snow, wineries, and waterfalls

One of the most beautiful views of the mountains, lakes and golf course.
We actually named the valley "whooville". The house was so comfortable
and the fire pit was the best place to be each evening. The fire and the stars
were just amazing. You felt like you could reach out and touch one of the stars.
Day trips to the wineries were wonderful, another day trip to the waterfalls
were awesome and just the overall time together was perfect, plus it did snow
one day and it was great to watch someone that had never seen snow get
the biggest thrill out of making a tiny snowman. This is certainly God's
Country.

Awesome Week-end

We absolutely loved this house and the view! There were 3 couples total on our trip up. We had such a great time. The house was well apointed and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, which is something we had not experienced in previous rentals. We especially enjoyed the back deck and the beautiful view. We spent a lot of time out there. There was plenty to do in the area and we took advantage of the great weather we had to do some site seeing. We will be back in 2013!

We just hated to leave! Very nice home, very clean and comfortable, incredible views. It was also very convenient to groceries and restaurants. Everything was as it was advertised and the owner was very responsive and pleasant. The view from the back porch is amazing day and night. We had a wonderful three days there and will certainly do it again. Thanks again HomeAway, you made it easy to find the perfect spot!

Everything surpassed our expectations! The owners have a beautiful home and our family felt right at home ~ the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms had plenty of linens and the beds were very comfortable. The view ~ OUTRAGEOUS! What a way to start and end the day, overlooking the mountains and Lake Chatuge!
