Janice and I live in Sarasota, Florida and love to travel. After visiting our friends in the mountains we fell in love with Gods brilliant canvas he has painted for all to enjoy. The serene beauty and magnificent views of mountains and lakes was all it took before buying our mountain home. We hope you enjoy the beauty as much as we do-What a great way to re-charge and reflex on our lives.

Close to everything without saying 'Is that a banjo I hear playing'
We had the pleasure to stay here over the Christmas holidays. The Home was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had an abundance of Feng Shui. It felt like a home filled with love versus a sterile place to hang your clothes for a week. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They wanted us to have an enjoyable time and recommended various adventures in the area. The views of the surrounding mountains were exceptional. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.
This rental was awesome. We loved everything about it. The views were breathtaking, spent all day on the porch taking in the mountain views. The house was very clean, very spacious, and perfect for our trip. We plan to go back again next year for our annual FALL trip. Hope to come back in the summer also. Great hiking trails and waterfalls near by to explore.
It was like heaven on earth. Better than described even. Pictures were spot on. Clean, Clean , Clean. Loved that about it as I am a clean freak. Even outside was well maintained. Mike, the owner was very responsive and very nice.
We were there for 2 weeks and have been to area many times before and still found things to do that we had not done before.
Highly recommend in Hayesville the Copper Door and the Cottage Deli. Loved the Eagle Fork Winery, brought our lunch and had it in the gazebo down by the babbling creek. The golf course is tough but very playable.
Blue Otter in Hiawassee and Mike's Seafood in Blairsville.
We rented a pontoon for the afternoon and cruised all over Lake Chatuge (sha-toog). that was the best day a must do.
Highly recommend this home. We will be back if at all possible.
Wow! This was our first visit as a family to North Carolina and it did not disappoint. It started with the incredible drive to the home and then as we arrived and took in the views, we immediately knew it was going to be something very different. The views of the mountains and the lakes were unlike any others--especially coming from Florida. The home was beautiful and made for a wonderful place to begin and end our day. There was something exciting to do each day within 10 minutes to an hour. Whether it's golf, just down the mountain, boating, white water rafting, tubing, kayaking, horse back riding or gem mining, the activities of your choice are close enough for daily outings offering unique and different scenery with each turn. The owner, Mike, is a pleasure and made our visit so easy and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise Mike with our family. We hope to come back soon and take advantage of your beautiful home in a setting like none other.
Our family has been enjoying vacation rentals on our trips for nearly 18 years now, and we've stayed at dozens of different places around the states. This stunning property is now at the top of our list of favorites! This home is impeccably clean, modern and stylish, with so much open space, and so many great features! But the view. Oh my gosh what a view! We enjoyed breakfast every morning, and dinner every evening on the balcony, drinking in the mountains, lakes, golf course and wildlife. Every night bringing out their large reflector telescope to get an even more amazing view of the clear unpolluted nights! and then enjoying poker & old classic video games in the luxury game room downstairs.
The one thing we were concerned about before we arrived, was the location. This place is much farther from the Smoky Mtn Nat Park than we've ever stayed (when traveling in this area). But there turned out to be many things to do, which the owner had even listed out for us. Bottom line: I can't say enough great things about the is property or the owner. Thank you again, Mike! We hope you don't sell this place any time soon, cause we can't wait to come back!
We've rented several mountain homes in Western North Carolina, but this
home was our best experience yet. The views of the mountains and Lake
Chatuge were "jaw dropping "awesome and were constantly changing; from the
morning view, to the night time view with the twinkling lights in the
valley. Even though the home was at a high elevation, the access drive
to navigate. The home is well equipped and had everything we needed for
cooking, and relaxing. The location was exceptional with close proximity
to hiking, scenic driving, picnicking and entertainment. We enjoyed hiking
the Fires Creek Trail , Lake Chatuge Dam, and the Jack Rabbit Trail, which
were only minutes away. We also drove to the Rose Creek gem mine in
Franklin. The Rose Creek owners are friendly and very family oriented. Our
granddaughter found a very nice ruby along with many other gems. We also
took a day trip driving to many of the water falls in the area, this was
well worth the time. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit each night,
watching the stars and views below. Mike (the owner) could not have been more
accommodating, with advise on things to do, where to shop for groceries and
where to dine out. They made sure we had their contact information and
followed up with us to ensure we did not lack for anything. We thoroughly
enjoyed the week we spent at this home and will return again.
Being centrally located we are only 10 minutes from Hiawassee and 20 minutes from Murphy.
