Additional information about rental rates

  • $900.00 - $1100.00 weekly. Add cleaning fee & 10% tax to the total rental fee.
  • Reservations: Security deposit due upon making a reservation. Deposit must be paid by check or by Pay Pal account. Balance due 30 days prior to your check-in-date. Virginia occupancy 5% tax, local tax of 5% & one time cleaning fee will be added to the balance.
  • Cancellation Policy: With at least 30 days written prior notice, the pre-paid deposit will be fully refunded minus a 25% cancellation fee. With less than 30 days written prior notice, & if we are able to re-rent the property, the same refund applies. If we are unable to re-rent the property, then the deposit will not be refunded.All refunds will be returned with in 45 days.

Enjoy power boating, canoeing, sailing, swimming, fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, and jet skiing during your stay at SML. The lakefront includes 7 public boat launching sites and many public and private marinas. Visit one of the 3 local public golf courses. For an historical excursion, travel 20-25 minutes to visit the Booker T. Washington Monument or the National D-Day Memorial. Travel the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and see many wild flowers and animals. The nearby cities of Roanoke and Lynchburg offer numerous diversions for families including the Science Museum of Western Virginia and Amazement Square. Located in a quiet cove at buoy marker R-30 you are a 5-10 minute boat ride from the Hales Ford Bridge marina, shops and restaurants. Three grocery stores within 10-20 minute drive.

Steep Hill but Lovely Home

This home is beautiful and comfortable and in a great location. We had a great visit but the biggest downfall is an EXTREMELY steep hill that you must walk up and down to get to the boat dock from the house. THere is no way around it. If you have anyone in your party that is older or has bad knees they won't be able to go to the dock or it will be VERY difficult for them. A full/heavy cooler is also difficult to get to and from the boat. Other than that the place is top notch! The owners are very nice and let us stay later on our checkout day!!
