|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
See through walls of windows spectacular, panoramic views of the mighty Mississippi River as it frames the historic city of old Nauvoo. Guests marvel at Bald Eagles on branches just outside their windows, barges, and river boats moving up and down the river, the Nauvoo Temple, Parley's Landing, and the Red Brick Store - even from their pillows! The NauView House is an oasis for couples or families - it is ideal for photographers and artists.
* For eagles and sailors, the NauView House is only a mile from Nauvoo, Illinois, the rest of us reach the Nauvoo driving along the Scenic Great River Road (35 minute drive).
Restful location. Awesome view of the Mississippi River and the historic city of Nauvoo... the Nauvoo Temple.
Delightful year round. River and temple views from your pillow... eagles glide outside our windows... perch on our trees.
This was a great place to stay. From the beginning until the end of our stay it was very easy to communicate with the owner. The house was in a very quiet are, which is exactly what we were looking for. The view is stunning and better than described. The house was clean and very well equipped. It felt like we were at home and I would definitely stay there again if we go to the area.
My brother, sister and I had a great time visiting family and friends in the Iowa and Illinois area. We stayed at the beautiful NauView house for a week. The house is so clean, comfortable and quite. It was so nice setting on the deck in the early mornings listening to the birds sing. I will stay again on my next trip. Thanks Lois and David
House was fully stocked with everything you would need, view was outstanding, very clean and decorated, we liked it so much that normally we plan a trip and then look for accomodations, but whenever we return to this area again our trip will be based upon availability of of this rental then we will pricesplan our trip around that time. If you plan on doing any cooking make sure you visit the local Meat Market and try their breaded tenderloins and other fine selections.
We had an excellent time at the Nauview House. The home was just as it was described. The house was very clean & the towels in the bathrooms were very big & fluffy. The house was very beautifully decorated.
We enjoyed our time in Old Nauvoo. We took the informative Wagon Ride. We also went to the park in Quincy, IL & saw the flood. And said a prayer for the flood victims. We loved the old homes in Quincy. We went on to Hannibal & went to Lovers Leap. And was disappointed that the trolley ride there was not going. This was on a Sunday. It was running again on Mon.
We would recommend this property to everyone we know. And would like to maybe return again sometime when the weather is a little warmer; so we can enjoy the deck in the sunshine. And perhaps spot a few more Eagles. We did spot 2.
Home is in excellent condition with all of the amenities needed plus more! Views from the house are awesome - even saw an Eagle! Centrally located to a lot of sites within less than two hours.
My wife, 3 boys under 12 and I stayed at the NauView House for 5 nights while our oldest son attended a youth conference across the river in Nauvoo. The house was everything that was advertised and more. The view of the Mississippi and the Nauvoo Temple were stellar. Waking up and opening my eyes on the sunrise, temple and river was absolutely incredible. The kids loved the foosball table and games in the play room. We played out on the lawn with some of the yard games that were there as well. The drive to Nauvoo along both the east and west banks of the Mississippi was about 40 minutes but the time was enjoyable as the scenery was fantastic.
The owners were fantastic to interact with and provided excellent directions and information package. Key was received promptly. I would highly recommend the NauView House to anyone wanting to spend time in the Nauvoo area.
