Fly in the excellent thermal lift from Fiescheralp, over Aletsch glacier and land on the private lot in front of Casa Yolanda and the Flying Center. You can find 100km hiking trails, super cross-country ski run, gorgeous ski slopes on the Fiescheralp and on the Bettmer- and Riederalp. In the cold November nights the snow cannons will produce snow, so that the guests can find wonderful slopes, even before Christmas. Fieschertal is a health resort that belongs to the Unesco World Heritage, Aletsch region. You can go up to Fiescheralp by ski lift and there you can explore the hiking trails. You can take the second ski lift and run up on Eggishorn, where you can enjoy the panoramic view. You have to see that panorama. At your feet the big Aletsch glacier unfolds. With ist 24 km, Aletsch glacier is the largest glacier in Europe. From Fieschertal you can reach Zermatt, Montana, Saas-Fee and Leukerbad in only 1 hour, as well as you can easily come back to Casa Yolanda or to Flying Center.
Late summer in Casa Yoalnda and Flying Center:
Who knows, maybe this summer will be as beautiful as the summer of 2003. In the morning and in the evening the weather beacomes chilly here, so that you can have a wonderful sleep. You can go hiking or fly as you wish. From Fieschertal you can visit many small villages and Alps. If there is no snow yet, you can go up to the glaciers and on the mountains, even in late October. Afterwards the traks are closed until December 4th, when the seazon begins and they are equipped for the winter. Enjoy the warm sun.Play golf on the golf course in Obergoms or on the Riederalp.Visit Zermatt with its Matterhorn. It is not foggy yet.Visit Leukerbad with its springs and dream of the old Rome. Visit Brig, our small town in the upper Rhonetal. And why not Italy? Domodossola is just 1 hour away.
Winter holiday in Casa Yolanda and Flying Center:
Look for our house among the ski apartmanets. Our ski slopes abound with snow. If St. Peter doesn’t send the snow himself, our people will produce it with the snow cannons, starting from November. A shining blue ski unfolds over the slopes of the region Aletsch. Everybody comes here, not only good skiers. Let your skiers at home, cause you can rent the whole equippment here. Besides you can get the most modern skiers here. Why to drudge on the old ones, when it is so much better with the rented ones. You can treat yourself in different restaurants all day long. Before you take the train to the valley in the evening, allow yourself a drink in Tippizelt, which appeals to the young people especially, thanks to its music and atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy the comforting warmth in the vacation apartment in Casa Yoalnda. On one of the evenings we hike with torches along the white waters to Fiesch. On our way the mulled wine warms us up.
Ski:
There are a lot of possibilities for winter holiday in the snow rich skiing region Fiesch-Eggishorn with connection to Bettmer- und Riederalp. A new artificial snow producing system guarantee an ideal presentation of the slopes. Between 1050 and 2900 m you can use the two chair lifts with 4 seats, 5 ski lifts, 45 km of slopes and 2 km cross-country ski run. The ski slope in Eggishorn is 1,5 km long. In the evenings, you can ski and use the ski lift Blätz by flood light. There is also an ideal small lift for small children, which is 300m long. It can be reached on Foot, in only 5 min. The well known Ghosky sleds can be rented here.Besides, there are a lot of hiking trails. In he evening we meet for the lovely hikings with torches and mulled wine. In Fiescheralp you can meet your friends in Tippizelt for an Apéro. Cheers!
Golf:
Only a half an hour drive away you can find the wonderful golf course with 9 holes, which is surrounded by meadows and woods, and by dark brown burned Welsh houses. From Casa Yolanda to Fieschertal you can reach the golf courses on Riesderalp in only half an hour and the golf courses in Leuk/Susten and in Montana in about 1, 1 and ½ hour respectively. If you want to go to Lago Maggiore, no problem whatsoever. You can drive over the pass Nufenen and you are there in only 2 hours, namely on the beautiful golf course in Ascona or in Losone. You can see how many opportunities you have. Would you like to go to Tessin, in the south of Switzerland, to play golf on the new golf course in Losone? Then you made the right choice comming to us.
