Fabulous Location and home, sans imenities

We arrive! The location is awesome, the home is as gorgeous as we hoped it would be. Entry to the home was effortless. Once we entered, we found a clean and spacious home where we knew we'd be able to relax and enjoy our stay in Reno.
While we loved the property, we found it to be lacking in some bare necessities. As we began to cook dinner, we couldn't find salt, pepper, nor cooking utensils among other cooking items like olive oil and cooking spray. After dinner, while cleaning up, we didn't find any dish soap for handwashing items. The kitchen was beautiful and immaculate. The new appliances were very appreciated, but still did not make up for the lack of items any kitchen requires; several trips to the local grocery store were needed. Forget making a breakfast that included french toast or pancakes; no griddle.
As for the remainder of the house, a TV that would make any man happy, though figuring out how to make it function would require detailed instructions, that were not provided. Luckily, this woman, figured it out, but forget about trying to watch a movie; many of which were provided. No dice. The living room had beautiful furnishings and a most comfortable couch. The dining area was perfect. The decor was incredible. The master bedroom was gloriously grand with a log cabin bed to rest your head that was comfortable and warm. More than enough bedding was provided for all beds in the home. The 2nd bedroom was lovely as well, though I believe an upgrade to a queen size or larger bed is in need. Squeezing two adults onto a full sized bed has its challenges. The upstairs loft was roomy and allowed our 8 year old to have his own space, though he did complain about the matress; however, it's not as if a couch bed is going to have a Serta matress- we didn't expect it to and it did a provide a place to rest his head.
The outside patios were wonderful and the river was just a hop, skip and a jump down the street; we took some lovely strolls. I really enjoyed this property and would not hesitate to rent it again if some improvements were made. I think many, including the owner, would benefit from providing a few more items to make those renting the property feel a little more at home. All in all, a wonderful home, but bring your pantry with you if you intend to cook!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the feedback. A prior guest may have overpacked as the operating manual was MIA but it has been replaced. To compensate for the queen size of the antique beds, the additional sleeper sofas have roll out feather bed mattress toppers to make them cosy! They are stored in the master bedroom linen closet. The down filled sectional sofa will sleep a 7' tall visitor in comfort! The kitchen is now fully stocked and we hope to welcome you again!
