Great location, but details are lacking

I recently rented this home with several members of my family. The owner was very accommodating to allow us to stay only 5 days rather than the 7 minimum. The location of this property is awesome. You can see the beach and the waves from the deck, and the two-car garage provides convenient parking in a very crowded area. You are also just over a mile from the Newport Beach pier, which was a fun walk. The sand and surf right near the property get a little steep but is great for body surfing, surfing, and sand castle building.
As far as the interior of the property is concerned, it is outwardly beautiful. Granite countertops, nice carpet, beds with headboards, comfortable couch, 4 TVs with cable, awesome showers. But when it came to actually *living* in the property, it seems clear that there was no thought put in to the conveniences that a renter needs. The mattresses are entry-level flat and uncomfortable. The pillows are slobber-stained. The sheets for the mattresses are a mish mash of printed sheets from the 90s and worn out Walmart brand sheets. There were duvet covers but no inserts. Some bathrooms had no garbage cans. There was an ironing board but no iron. There was a frig but no water hookup (read: no ice!) and no water dispenser. The cups/plates/silverware/pots/pans seemed to be a mix of items left by other renters (rather than provided by the owner) with many items missing or not enough for a house that sleeps 12. Other than the master, the rooms were relatively small with little room to move around the beds (pictures are deceiving!). Perhaps I'm just being picky, but these small things left me feeling a bit shorted at the end of the day. I know the property is for sale, so perhaps the owner pulled out everything and left the minimum, and if that is the case it shows (if it's not the case, it's sad). Did it ruin my vacation? No. Once again, it's a beautiful property in an awesome location. But next time I will be bringing my own bagged ice, bottled water, sheets, garbage cans, paper plates, and paper cups.

Owner's Response: This beach condo is no longer for sale. The iron was broken by a tenant and has now been replaced and each room now has a garbage can. I do not provide ice for health reasons and the frig style does not have a water dispenser. I do provide sheets and towels which are partially replaced as they wear out so matching what is there each time is difficult. Many rentals at the beach do not provide these items and the tenants can always bring their own if they prefer. Paper plates and paper products are not provided but the kitchen is full service with all the items needed for eating and cooking and these items are updated as needed.
