'We had a wonderful time in your cottage. Everything was perfect! Our memories of this quaint home will be with us forever because our daughter was married Saturday, and our stay here will be mingled with her sweet day. Thank you,'

'We enjoyed your cottage so much! It was our home and working base for the week of our daughter's wedding. This cottage gave us all a place to be at home-away-from-home. Thank you so much for such a wonderful memory.'
Frank and Kathy - June 2008
We really liked this place. We actually live in Santa Barbara but our house got flooded so we were staying here and we loved it! -May 2008
We had a wonderful time in your cottage while visiting our daughter and sister who lives in Goleta. It was a very special time since we celebrated our father’s 80th birthday. The cottage is a lovely place to stay. It was very warm and cozy. We’ll definitely keep it in mind for the next time. (The Netherlands – Europe) March 20-Ap

'Wonderful Cottage. Was a home away from home! Thanks for making our family vacation wonderful. What a relaxing weekend.
Thank you. Johnson Family
My wife & I have lived in Santa Barbara for 29 yrs and invite you to come visit our Charming Cottages. There is no place like Santa Barbara in the world and we think you will agree with us after you have stayed with us in the heart of the Santa Barbara. Known as the American Riviera.
Cherise purchased this cottage in 2004
Our three Cottages are very charming inside and out. The landscape area surrounding the three Cottages matches the Cottages them selves. The San Roque area neighborhood is a very desirable area for locals to purchase Real Estate because of its family oriented life style and sought after school district. Also its proximity to beaches , shopping and Wine Country. We invested here because of all of these reasons.
Had a lovely stay! Nice neighborhood away from the busy-ness of downtown. We enjoyed the garden and quiet patio. Would stay again.
We had a wonderful time staying here and would love to come back again. The neighborhood was peaceful and having our dog there worked perfectly. We thought we were going to miss being right in the middle of town, but it turned out that we had such easy access to places like the Arroyo Dog Beach and avoided being stuck in rush hour traffic as we decided to drive up the coast. The cottage was very clean and well kept, a perfect getaway for our spring vacation. Thanks!
We were really excited on arriving to Santa Barbara. Decided to take a family road trip from Los Angeles. It was just the two of us with our toddler. When we arrived , there wasn't anyone there to meet us, earlier in the week I got a e-mail from Charisse about instructions. OK? Instructions doesn't cover all aspects of the cottage. Street parking means the path parking off the property, there's no signs. The cottage is cute, but inside is smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. It's not new as it says on the website and only our toddler enjoyed it because the fixtures were her height. This cottage would work for people who like to stay in and relax, maybe cook in. You would definitely need a car because the property is a bit far from the rest of the highlights of Santa Barbara. It's more of a residential neighborhood. We're the type to go out and enjoy the beach and do activities around State Street. Maybe we'll just book a hotel next time, it's about the same price if not cheaper.
Everything was as it said it would be. Not far from town, but out of the way so as not to be in the midst of it. All the amenities were there even laundry machines and soap. The BB-Que was convenient for the times we felt like hanging around the cottage. The property was clean and well maintained outside with a great deal of nature.
The costumer service was out and out, excellent. More than once, we had extra requests and needs during our stay and she was on it!
The beaches were only 10 min away (by car) and plenty to do. Hiking is a skip away, and bike trails are not far off either. You could walk or ride bikes to stores and there are plenty of great restaurants and shopping. The TEE OFF ( an impressive restaurant) is close by and has great service with absolutely delicious food.
I am recommending Lady Bug Cottage to my friends!
I had the most lovely time while staying at this quiet cottage. It was the perfect place for me to get some much needed rest & relaxation! I would love to come back again. The owner's assistant was very helpful and made me feel welcome. Thank you!
The property was perfect for our group. We actually rented the Ladybug cottage and one of the others. We had a couple with a baby that were able to use the Ladybug cottage so that the baby could take naps and be awake at different times, while the rest of us could be in the other cottage. The patio areas were perfect for relaxing in the lovely Santa Barbara weather.
Our spring break vacation was RUINED when a septic tank from next door "Butterfly Cottage" overflowed SEWAGE into patio entrance to our "Ladybug Cottage." Furthermore, there were no sheets for the beds, and the water fountain in the garden area was broken. Upon arrival, when we called for sheets, I even reported to the manager, Cherise, that I saw water discharging out of a white PVC pipe sticking up next to the fountain (ALSO not working!). She insisted it was nothing to worry about, just "grey water." She said she ought to look into it. Then, 48 hours later, we came back from a daily outing around 5pm to see OBVIOUS RAW SEWAGE AND WET SOILED TOILET PAPER gushing out of the same pipe all over the patio area we had to walk through to enter the Ladybug cottage. We called every phone/cell number listed in the cottage, sent emails to the addresses listed, even the EMERGENCY Contact info, but NO ONE RESPONDED for 2 HOURS! Email addresses and some of the numbers were even INCORRECT, had not been updated for over a year! Finally manager moved us to a small hotel room way across town (they paid for one night). They promised to send a plumber, "clean" patio and shampoo carpet. They didn't call us until 1:50 pm the next day. Manager said we could move back into the cottage because it was "clean." We know that "black water" sewage discharges typically require much more to decontaminate. The owner and manager did not seem to take this very seriously. When we refused to return to the cottage, they refunded ONLY the 3 nights remaining in the weekly rental. They refused to refund the entire week, and they even kept the CLEANING FEE! They ABSOLUTELY RUINED OUR FAMILY VACATION. We brought our kids to SB for spring break, and DID NOT EXPECT WE WOULD ENCOUNTER A HEALTH RISK BY EXPOSURE TO HUMAN WASTE IN THE LADYBUG COTTAGE WE RENTED!! How do you find another rental suitable for a family with young active kids in the middle of the spring break holiday?! We also observed wash water from the clothes washer on the driveway, which is for Butterfly Cottage use, being discharged directly out onto the driveway. According to SB Co. Health Dept website, even that "grey water" from the washing machine could contain bacteria that could be harmful to humans. This place is a nightmare! If I could give it negative stars, I would.
