This traditional 1890's Maine summer cottage on Bailey Island sits on a high bluff overlooking the ocean. This property has been in the same family for over 100 years. Watch the sun rise up “out of the ocean” and the lobster men hauling their traps as you sit on the east side covered porch with a cup of coffee. Eat lunch on the porch at the 6 person table while sailboats pass on their way. The house's west facing porch looks out over a peaceful view , perfect for a lazy afternoon rest with a good book. The bedrooms are beautiful and the kitchen is large and sunny. Spend time listening to the ocean, collecting shells on the beaches or renting a kayak and skimming along with the fish! Drive 25 minutes to the college town of Brunswick for antiquing or for summer stock theater,. Visit the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. Outlet shopping in Freeport is 40 minutes away or travel just beyond to browse Portland's historic waterfront. Dine at island restaurants or cook lobsters at home.
