Wish we could stay forever!

Before we got to the cabin we were a little aprehensive about the size, (the description says 750sf) but once we stepped inside we couldn't believe our eyes. Although the bedrooms are small the rest of the place actually feels roomy. Very roomy. In fact, until you take your vacation here you can't understand how spacious a small place can feel. Cudos to the designer! Great, easy to work in kitchen too and my wife and I loved being able to watch a movie or tv and look out at the lake all while cooking.
The view is amazing, just as they described and a nice added touch is that they didn't cut all the trees and create a manicured lawn. If we wanted to stay on a golf course we would go to Florida.
The water is very warm and the fishing was outstanding! We rented a boat about a quarter mile away and explored the lake. If you do this bring a cooler. We did a perimmiter run of the lake and at 30mph you can expect 3-4 hours of actual run time w/o exploring all the little coves.
The cabin is located pretty close to everything you could want. It is about 2 miles into town, where there are restaurants, banks, groceries etc. We went to the drive-in one night and that is about 15 miles each way. The golf course, which is much nicer than it appears on a drive by, is about 1 mile from the cabin and rediculously inexpensive.
There are other restaurants closer than town too and we recommend the Sport Island Pub. Don't let the name scare your wife off, it is more of an Adirondack feel than a sports bar.
The only negative thing we found was that the neighbors house is really ugly. I know, it isn't a nice thing to say and the neighbor John is a nice guy but it is true.
My wife and I agree that this was hands down the best vacation we have ever taken for the money (bordering on best vacation we have taken at any price.) The setting and the cabin are very romantic and I'm not just saying that from a guy's point of view. My wife actually commented on it first. We will be back again for the changing leaves, a romantic winter getaway and our new summer vacation tradition.
