Wonderful vacation!

We rented this cottage with another family for a week in July. When we drove up we weren't very impressed with the outside and the fact that it looked very small. Upon entering, our minds were changed right away. This cottage is very roomy on the inside, we had two toddler, two pre-teens and four adults and we never felt crowded. The older kids loved the downstairs rec room! The cottage was incredibly clean and everything was new. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to make meals and was big enough for two people to cook without bumping into each other. The upper deck is great for outdoor meals and has a nice view of the lake. The week we stayed at the cottage was the hottest week Michigan has had in years, but we stayed nice and cool with the fans that were provided. The stairs were quite steep down to the beach, which was a bit scary with two little ones! Plus, the beach wasn't really kid friendly. There is only about 4 feet of beach at the bottom of the stairs and then there is a wall that drops off into the water. For the older kids and adults, it was fine, but we were a little nervous with the little kids. Overall, we loved this cottage and had a great vacation!
