I am a very active member of the community. I teach line dancing and for the past 13 years, have put on the famous Spook-tacular for the community, for 12 years.. I started and organized the Christmas Parade of Lights. I did this for two years. My gardens take up most of my time in the summer. I love to hear children laughing and having a great time.
It is near the lake, and you don't have to cross the highway to get to it. The land is flat, which is rare in mountain country, and we have a great mountainview.
Seclusion is abundant, here. Peaceful, and quiet. Deer spotted frequently on property.
Having stayed downtown Kelowna the previous year for a week of vacation, our family was looking for a bit quieter of an environment this year (but of course still all the comforts of home)! In short, we had a wonderful stay, this was exactly what we were looking for. Communication from Donna was very good, and the additional info she provided at check-in answered any outstanding questions regarding local activities, etc. The outdoor gardens deserve special mention, as there are plenty of spots to relax and enjoy the scenery, or nap in the hammocks. The beach is indeed just a short walking distance away, at which we spent many hours. The local market store (a few min drive away, or an easy short bike ride) was clean and well stocked as well, with a burger/pizza grill for any evening poutine cravings. Warm and sunny for most of the week, the times when it rained during the day we were able to relax either inside, or outside on the very large covered private patio.
Communication from the host was top notch. The location of the house is awesome, beach so close and no highway to cross to get there!!
We really enjoyed our stay - the suite has all the comforts of home and gardens were really lovely! Truly "a piece of paradise"!!
We had a great time even though the weather was being difficult. the covered patio was a huge bonus for BBQ's and late night card games. the pictures do not do the back yard garden justice. it is a beautiful home and we cant wait to come back again to visit!!!

My family really enjoyed this peaceful and beautiful location. It was clean and well equipped for a small family, the garden was beautiful and great for our 1 year old to crawl around in. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.
The property has excellent access to the beach (just a couple of minutes walk) and the beach was very quiet on weekdays. Note that there is nothing really within walking distance apart from the beach - nearest food shop is a 5 minute drive away.
The mini playground in the garden was great for small kids.
What a gorgeous place this is. My husband and I took our one-year-old son, and my aunt and uncle and their two girls (6 & 8) stayed with us as well. We were so pleased when we arrived. The suite was even betterthan the photos, the listing description didn't do it justice. It was very clean and spacious and anything we needed was provided (other than food of course!) There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. I pestered the owners with e-mails before we arrived and they were always answered promptly and they were truly excited for us to come and stay. We felt so comfortable there. The kids loved it. The property is gorgeous, full of well maintained gardens and a great play fort and swing set and the coolest pirate ship sandbox for the kids. You could really tell how much the Gallant's love their property, it was so well maintained. The beach is a short walk away and we had it all to ourselves.
I felt so safe having my baby here. I can't get over how lovingly they take care of their property and home. They were just awesome people to deal with. Any questions or concerns were taken care of quickly and we would definitley come back and would definitley recommend this to anyone as a great vacation spot!
