Over a dozen eateries, the Performing Arts Center, Visual Arts Center and galleries all within a ten minute walk. Ten minute drive to the Bay Front and Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and State Park - or take the free shuttle.
Fifteen minute drive south to the Newport Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center and north to Yaquina Head Lighthouse and marine wildlife interpretive center.
There are two places to access the beach near Overlook. The Nye Beach Turnaround is the closest - just 3 blocks away, with picnic tables, a place to wash the sand off your feet and public bathrooms. The second is a few blocks further south, at Olive and Coast streets. This beach access has a long winding paved path down a bluff to the beach, some cool sculptures, public restrooms and a memorial to sailors lost at sea.
For you golfers, Agate Beach public golf course is just 15 minutes North and the beautiful course at Salishan is 30 minutes away.
Come to Nye Beach, where you can do anything or do nothing at all!
