Brooks Hacienda:
Brooks Hacienda was completed Nov 08 and everything is new. You will enjoy the Costa Rican handicraft of the cabinetry and windows and doors. The floors are all ceramic Spanish and Italian tiles. The acrylic finish on both the inside and the outside of the casa is done in beautiful colours and its unique feature of not growing moulds, makes it pleasant to the eye and healthy to the body. The open area living with a daily breeze drifting thru the home is a natural air exchanger. For those wishing to be cool, both bedrooms and bathrooms are air conditioned. Brooks Hacienda also boasts decorative beams in the ceiling where indirect lighting is attached. The well sought out light fixtures adds a romantic hew throughout the home in the evening. There has been areas created for comfortable reading.
From the decks, one can view into the jungle. In rainy season you can see and smell the rains before they are upon you. It is a beautiful and inspiring thing to watch. Yours to enjoy!
The Pool:
The Pool was designed by Kate and Randy Brooks. It is 8 feet deep on one end and 4 feet deep at the other. The length of the pool is 35 feet. There is a 'beach area' mid way from deep end to shallow end and it has 2 jacuzzi jets to lay back and enjoy a massage. There are also 3 jacuzzi jets in the shallow end which reaches mid back. The other jacuzzi is at the deep end and can get your upper mid back if you hang on to the sides... so jump in and iron our your kinks. The pool has sun from 8 AM to 3 PM (depending on the month, but it only varies by 15 minutes) The pool is comfortable to swim in any time of year. There is a large deck area with a comfortable couch, lounge chairs which lay back flat for sunbathing or naps, and several chairs for just sitting and visiting or watching the life of the jungle. The deck is individual hand laid tumbled stone from Columbia. It does not get hot to walk on, but at night it retains the heat. There is a shower and a bathroom close to the pool area.
The Location:
Brooks Hacienda is located in a small neighborhood of unique American and Canadian homes. It is secluded off the main road so it's luxury of quietness, elimination of traffic pollution of fumes and noise makes it for a very relaxing vacation home. Most of the neighbors are full time residence and are very friendly. We ask that your restrict your noise to inside the house after 11 PM. More animals of the jungle will approach your home if the noise level is normal..(?)
Brooks Hacienda is a 10 minute drive to the main beach of Manuel Antonio, and The National Park.
It is 15 minutes to Quepos the little fishing village where you can purchase all your grocery, liquor and other necessary items. Every Friday night and Saturday morning there is a fruit and vegetable market when all the local farmers come in to sell their wares. A very cultural experience. There are also smaller grocery stores 5 minutes away. The restaurants are 5 minutes from the house.
