You will be comfortable with central air conditioning, but you can shut off the air and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze. The kitchen is fully furnished with appliances and cooking utensils.

You can see and hear the waves while relaxing on the master bed, or sit on your private balcony overlooking the sea with Vieques Island on the horizon.

the view from condo is magnificent! We woke each morning with a sunrise over the ocean and Vequies island on the horizon. This unit is in Beach Village, one of numerous gated communities in Palmas Del Mar. Beach Village was the first to be developed, and although the buildings are older we found the condo had all the amenities we needed and the location was the best one In all of palmas! The AC worked well, the beds were very comfortable, and the dormer was great as a 3rd bedroom. The owner was easy to communicate with and his on site manager was helpful with suggestions. The pool was beautiful, offering plenty of chairs and lounges both in the sun and shade. If you call the phone number posted at pool entry you may request lounge chairs be brought to the beach. This condo was a great home base for us. We took many day trips. Highlights included zip lining at toro verde by rain forest, ferry to vieques and culebra. Snorkel with turtles at tamarindo beach and enjoy the white sands and turquoise waters of flamenco beach, both on culebra. On weekends we bought fresh spiney lobsters from fish market a few miles away. When exiting palmas turn left and go up and down mountain to next beach where fresh seafood is sold cheap. We had a wonderful time with the locals, all friendly and welcoming, we never felt unsafe. Great vacation!
All the information and the pictures were very accurate. Although the most impressive of all was the unforgettable view and closeness to the ocean. We had breakfast every morning and enjoyed the privacy of this condo. We were able to travel all over the island and return to the condo every night. The kitchen had all necessary utensils and we cooked many meals. The owner and his local manager were very friendly and helpful at all times. This is a REAL deal. We will definitely consider coming back to this condo.I highly recommend it.
We were very pleased with our accommodations. This is our second time staying in this condo. The location to the beach is ideal :) The pictures posted on the site are very accurate. We will definitely return to this unit!
We were pleasantly surprised with the changes around the condo since our visit in Nov 2012. It looks like it has been painted, there are new bath towels, the sliding door has a great seal & there are new chairs to use on the beach!
We were a little disappointed in the beach this time as it was covered in mounds of seaweed. Unlike last time when a crew would be cleaning the beach daily, this time the crew only cleaned the beach near the hotel & beach bar. We did figure out that if we walked left on the beach, past the beach bar toward the point, that once we got past the point, the seaweed was gone & the water was as clear as glass! The pictures we took & the fun we had in the calm waters was wonderful :) Not sure why, but the beach in front of our condo seemed calmer & clearer on our 1st trip in November.
Activities we participated in: We went to Fajardo & did an electric boat tour of the Bio Bay. www.babybaypr.com. The tour was very nice. Didn't realize that water creatures could glow in the dark! Did a zip line tour at Yunke Zip Line Adventures. I am pushing 50 & this was so much fun! Not too hard on the bones or joints! Tour guides were great & the views of the rain forest were to die for. The younger folks used the Equestrian Center at Palmas & took the horseback ride on the beach. Loved it!
We ate several nights at The Beach Club Restaurant. Food was fresh & delicious. Open air restaurant w/a great atmosphere. Also ate at the pizza & Mexican restaurant in the plaza. Can honestly say that all the food was fantastic!
Complaints: Lamp in BR & living room didn't work. The one in the LR actually shocked me when I was trying to turn it on. The balcony light blew out one night when we were there. Didn't notify anyone to have it fixed. The shower upstairs is dripping & the tub is draining slowing. Could use new wash cloths to go with the new towels. We had a hard time cooking in the stainless steel pans; could use a couple of non-stick skillets for fast & easy cleanup. Would also suggest heat blocking, black out curtains for both BR's & upstairs balcony door. Would help the A/C cool down the unit.
Over all - LOVED this place! When we retire, we want to own a place like this.
My two young adult daughters and wife thoroughly enjoyed our week at this beach front villa. From the soothing sounds of the ocean every morning to the tennis and golf at the Palmas Del Mar clubs. It was the perfect remedy for the post holiday and winter blues. The villas location in Palmas allows for side trips to Vieques (which we took) and the rainforest. The 3rd bedroom loft was an additional benefit for my daughters privacy. This Beach Village community is adjacent to the hotel and from what I understand, was part of the initial construction at Palmas. In addition, Darrin was a superb host, sharing good information from directions to procedures to dining and cultural suggestions. I'd highly recommend a visit to the villa and Palmas in general.
We had anice stay at Palmas Del Mar. The condo was overall well kept and located right on the beach as pictured. There were a few issues we had with the condo: Upon check-in we were told that the sliding glass door leading from the Master bedroom to the balcony overlooking the ocean was "off track" and we shouldn't use the door. That was a dissappointment. When we booked the condo we were told the property owner would allow us to use his golf cart kept at the property if it was not being serviced. At check-in we were told the golf cart was sold the previous week. This would have been nice to know ahead of time because this left us with out a golf cart over the Christmas holiday in a community where a golf cart is almost a must. The rental locations were closed/booked for a few days. The beach was beautiful to look at from afar and the ocean breeze was nice, however the beach needed to be cleaned. It was littered with small pieces of trash, we even found a hypodermic syringe. That was a bit alarming. Overall, Palmas Del Mar is a beautiful community with lots to do. We enjoyed our vacation, but would not come back for the beach.
The property of Palmas del Mar was absolutely gorgeous and safe. The Beach Village condo is in fact steps from the beach. The pool had many new lounge chairs that were very comfortable and a wonderful place to sunbathe and cool off in the afternoon. A 45 minute drive to old San Juan and El Yunque was easy and I recommend these places to visit - had a wonderful experience! Restaurants at the Palmas Plaza are very good - we especially loved The Blue Hawaiian - oriental cuisine. If I decided to return to see more of Puerto Rico, I would definitely rent this condo again. My only complaint is the beach chairs were broken and not a very nice quality/size anyhow - an oceanfront condo should provide great beach chairs. Darrin was a great host and took us personally to a couple beach sites for sea glass while he happened to be on the island - so appreciated and thus trumps the beach chair disappoint and reason for 5 stars! I'm sure he will update the chairs. :)
Watch the ocean and swaying palms from your private balcony, kitchen or living room. This condo has some of the best views of the Caribbean as you are literally steps from the beach. From this ideal location on the southeast coast of Puerto Rico, there is something for everyone. You can lie on the beach, catch rays, and read a book. Or if you want a more active day, no problem - because you can surf, snorkel, explore hidden beaches, climb rocks, hike, and discover rare vegetation and flowers within a few miles. There are all types of dining from casual to eloquent.
Golf: There are two 18-hole championship golf courses, over 20 tennis courts including hard surface, clay and artificial grass.
