Depending upon your interest, a vacation on Merrymeeting Bay offers a great deal of interesting boating and fishing, as well as access to the ocean. However, it is an incredibly beautiful and relaxing location to casually explore nature, enjoy the private beach, BBQ or just rest. Depending upon the tide, a large group of seals can be found basking in the sun and looking for a fish dinner only a very short boat ride away. It is an idyllic place to canoe and kayak (please bring your own or watercraft rental information can be provided). Bath, Maine is a small mid coast jewel of a city. An old seafaring town, Bath has sailed gracefully into the present day bringing a taste of her history with her. Nearby, Popham Beach and Reid State Park offer miles of sandy beach and rocky cliffs. Cultural treasures are plentiful at Bath’s Maine Maritime Museum. Near other midcoast attractions including Freeport outlet shopping and Portland attractions.

  • House bedroom 1 is a modern master suite bedroom with custom made furniture, queen size bed, large window and water view. Offering private marble bath with jacuzzi tub with water view. Vanity dressing area and small office w/computer access (computer not provided). House bedroom 2 has a queen-sized bed and is a privately located, nicely furnished room with very large architectural window to view water and possibly eagle's nest. House bedroom 3 has a queen-sized bed and is an English cottage style decorated room with large window and chippendale setee, it is also privately located. House sleeping room 4 is a nice, roomy sleeping area w/ comfy queen, modern oak futon, nightstands, & contemporary leather chair w/windows to water side - good privacy but open to staircase landing. Cottage features one large, open concept bedroom (no dividing walls), with one queen and three twin beds with outstanding water's edge views. Cottage also has pullout queen sofa.

Amenities in both the house and the cottage will vary by property, however, the rental comes with 2 modern kitchens. One kitchen is gourmet with Viking and Subzero appliances and the other is brand new, granite kitchen with dishwasher located in the cottage. As the house is new construction and cottage is fully renovated, all bathrooms are pristine and enjoyable. There is a good deal of seating between the two properties, and the house offers an open space for the entire group to gather. The house offers central air conditioning. The house and cottage each offer separate access to the beach. The house has specialty designed, rock stairs to the beach and the cottage has a wraparound cedar deck with stairs to the beach. Kayak and baby equipment delivery available. On-site massage available.

Very beautiful home--very clean and well kept. Quiet area--a bit too quite since there are no lobster boat or many other boats on the water.

Owners provided very good assistance through entire booking procedure.

One drawback to the beautiful place is all the notes posted around the house---do not touch, do not use, do not open, do not ........ect. very difficult to transport kayaks to water.

Great vacation rental!

A luxurious home, with many large rooms and beautifully decorated. It was exactly how we pictured it. Very private with a wonderful view. The owner (Ariane) was the most gracious person and a real delight to deal with. She was very helpful and extremely accomodating, and we felt like we were old friends by the time we actually got to the property. The house is close to Bath, which we found to be a charming, quaint, seaside town. Mae's restaurant for breakfast was great. There is also a delightful kitchen shop in town. We enjoyed touring the area and then coming back to the house to just kick back and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed being a guest at this outstanding property. The amenities and accommodations were perfect. It was really awesome and so unique to stay in Maine on a tidal beach that is warm enough to swim, but then be able to also enjoy the beautiful sunsets at night. Everyone enjoyed the beach and especially the little kids had a blast on the beach. The wraparound deck was also great for them. It was so peaceful and beautiful, but we also loved being near historic Bath where the restaurants and shopping were excellent. Breakfast and bakery treats at Mae's Cafe are a must. We also loved Solo Bistro, Beale Street BBQ, Five Islands Lobster and The Gelato Fiasco. We also toured around the Boothbay area and the owners helped us plan a fabulous day in Portland. The guys had a great time golfing right nearby at The Bath Country Club and loved the huge TV with movies at night. Our first choice dates were booked early, but we are very glad we chose another date and got to enjoy this property. An ideal Maine summer vacation was had by all!

Top Notch Property and Memorable Trip

I rented this gorgeous property along with my family to celebrate our
uncle's much awaited retirement. We rent a Maine home every year, and for once the property we rented was even more beautiful than the pictures. The property was top notch and not like any other rental we have had. We felt that it provided a lot of value with its amenities. We were blessed with wonderful weather and enjoyed the beach, swimming and floating on rafts. The kids had a great time. We had kayaks delivered and caught fish off the beach at night. We looked forward to our cocktails and lobsters while we watched incredible sunsets. At night, I retreated to the jacuzzi and steam shower while others enjoyed the gym and big TV. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning crew nicely prepared the property for our arrival. We found the Vistor's Guide very useful. We really loved historic Bath and thought it was so charming. There were lots of restaurants and activities all around. All of our expectations and more were met on this memorable family trip. We received excellent communications and our full security deposit was promptly returned. Highly recommend and hope I can return to this property!
