My Favorite Vacation!

I have been to Townsend area many times but have never enjoyed my stay as much as when I rented this cabin! You were very helpful in planning our time in the area and your home had everything we could have wanted and more! The children enjoyed the movies and games and we used the hiking books to plan our time in the park. The soap and shampoo in the bathrooms were a nice treat! We loved having a bathroom in each bedroom! We will be back again!

Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The Perfect Cabin

Our family has celebrated the past 11 Christmas's at various cabins throughout Townsend, Tn. Finally, we have discovered the perfect one! Great location, no steep hills to drive. Beautiful views from a lovely wrap around porch. The best hot tub I have EVER been in, and comfortable, cozy furnishings throughout the cabin. It even came pre-decorated for Christmas. The owners are kind and very helpful. The cabin was extremly clean and offered all the necessity's from home. We would recommend Knotty Pine to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains. Our family can't wait to return to our perfect cabin!!

Awesome Cabin

The perfect cabin, easy to get to, very clean with all of the amenities you could ask for. The great part is that all three bedrooms are masters so private bathrooms. The wrap around deck in the front was another great feature, we enjoyed may afternoons soaking in the sun and the views. You really can't go wrong with this one!

Prime location for access to hiking trails

Knotty Pine cabin is a great “home away from home,” and its location is perfect for easy driving access to all of the hiking trails in the Smoky Mountains National Park. We liked the fact that we could drive out to the trailheads in the early morning hours before any other hikers. Avoiding the traffic in Pigeon Forge and the numerous pedestrian crosswalks in Gatlinburg were definite advantages of your location. We have stayed many times at Knotty Pine for our summer vacation, but this year decided to go in the fall to see the change in colors. Thanks to you and Karen for promptly responding to our queries. Your suggested dates for occupancy were spot on. We weren’t disappointed! The hiking trails were full of color from the low elevations to the high. An added treat was the view of the hills from your cabin’s porch. The tranquil movement of the early morning vapors for which the Smoky Mountains are famous was also beautiful when viewed from the inside of the cabin through the large windows on either side of the fireplace. The gas fireplace was easy to operate and we enjoyed the light and heat cast by it – being from Florida, we were a bit unaccustomed to the low 40-degree temperatures in the morning! As mentioned by several other visitors to your cabin, it was very well maintained and clean, and the cabin was stocked with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Knotty Pine cabin will be a definite destination on our future trips to the Smokies!

Amazing Cabin!!

My family stayed at your cabin 10/13/12-10/20/12 and it was so beautiful! My husband and I were first to arrive and when we walked in we were so amazed at just everything about the cabin and view! It was perfect for our family of 6. The kitchen literally had everything you could think of to cook any meal! I loved just sitting in the living room with the fire and looking out the windows to some beautiful mountains. The first day we were there we saw wild turkey in the front yard! Never saw any black bears while we were there but that's okay with me!!! I was so sad to leave! I love that it's in Townsend, which is a beautiful town. I love Apple Valley Country Store! I cannot give any higher praise about this cabin. All I can see is...I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
