Awesome location adjacent to Laurel Valley but on it's own 2 acre lot for privacy. Mountain views from every room! Large TV in living room with VCR and DVD player and library of movies to enjoy. Hot tub outside and jetted tub in master bath. Large wrap around deck with gas grill and outdoor dining adjacent to kitchen. Location is awesome being only 10 min. to the National Park and Cades Cove & only 25 min. to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! Townsend allows you to miss most of the traffic, being close to the fun of these vacation locations with all the peace and quiet of the Mountains. Our home is 5 minutes from an awesome cave attraction, riding stables and our community pool. Championship golf course only 5 minutes away too. Townsend has great tubing on the Little River and a wonderful bike trail that accesses the whole town, it is only 1 mile from our home. Come to our mountains! Owners have lots of experience in the area and will help you plan the perfect vacation.

Townsend Area: Townsend is the Peaceful Side of the Smokies, Close to the Tourist Towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but away from the Traffic and Noise. Local Restaurants and shops provide all you need and the National Park is just 10 minutes away!

Cabin Location: Our Cabin is not packed onto a small lot, but situated on 2 acres right adjacent to the Laurel Valley Country Club. Golf and Swimming Pool only 5 minutes down the road. During the day you have access to this area. Unobstructed mountain views from every room of our home.

Extras: Our owners have many years experience planning vacations in this area, two have done this for a living. We would be happy to help you plan your trip. Extensive brochures available for you to review in the home. Table games, DVDs and VCRs for your indoor enjoyment, but you will not want to be inside when you can be enjoying our mountains! Come home and relax in the hot tub or jetted tub. Enjoy!

Golf: Laurel Valley Country Club is in a gate community and is the best course in the area. It is located just 5 minutes from our home. Plenty of room to store your clubs in the large bedroom closets. Enjoy a round in the morning since you are only 5 minutes away then join your family for a full day of fun!

I have been to Townsend area many times but have never enjoyed my stay as much as when I rented this cabin! You were very helpful in planning our time in the area and your home had everything we could have wanted and more! The children enjoyed the movies and games and we used the hiking books to plan our time in the park. The soap and shampoo in the bathrooms were a nice treat! We loved having a bathroom in each bedroom! We will be back again!

Great mountain views; close to Park; really clean

Knotty Pines is a lovely, well-maintained, immaculately clean home. The entire house is wood and glass, so there are beautiful views from every room, especially from the front deck. Nice kitchen, pretty bathrooms with plenty of clean fluffy towels, and spacious bedrooms with really comfortable beds and more than enough dresser / closet space. Tastefully decorated throughout and really clean (already mentioned this but it deserves repeating). Nice size TV in the living room and the internet access was great. Hot tub was a fun way to relax after hiking in the Park (Knotty Pines is about 10 mins. from the Townsend entrance.) Decent size grocery store less than 10 mins. away. If you drive to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Dollywood, you will appreciate the peace and quiet of returning to Townsend. Recommend visiting the Tuckaleechee Caverns; only about 15 mins. away and a great way to spend a few hours.

Mountain Getway!!!

Knotty Pine was a dream come true. I brought my mother, daughter and friend. Everyone had a wonderful time, even the 21 year olds!!!! They loved riding bikes in townsend and spending some time in the hottub at night. They even played games in the loft!! We watched the sunset each evening from our deck. We grilled out each day on the grill and the wonderful kitchen had everything we needed. The place was emaculate. Thanks also to the owners for helping us plan things to do in the area. That was so helpful. We all hated leaving. We have talked about planning another stay in the fall. Everything was better than we expected!!!

Knotty Pine is a little piece of Heaven!

Me, my husband, my niece (20) and my mother stayed in this cabin from April 22nd-25th, 2009. I cannot describe to you how beautiful this cabin is! We saw deer every single morning sitting on the deck. We even saw a beaver. Having our own bathrooms was so nice. The place was spic-n-span, and it looked like a new home! It had everything we needed, EVEN a hairdryer for my niece! (Haha)
My mother has always wanted to go to the Smokey Mountains and I wanted to make that happen while she was still young enough to enjoy it. We flew down to Memphis from Phoenix to get her and off we went on a scenic drive. She is STILL talking about how wonderful the trip was, how beautiful her room was, and how we made her dream she thought she'd never live to see come true. The owner of this cabin went above and beyond the call of duty helping us plan for this stay. He even offering advice on where to eat and all of that good stuff.
My mother already wants to know if she can go again for her birthday in October. (LOL...sorry Mom, I think it's going to be a little longer!) Thank you so much for all the "Southern hospitality, and for allowing US the chance to stay in this beautiful cabin! It was beyond what we were expecting for the price! We had the times of our lives. This was the first time we used Home Away and I'm so glad we did!

We had a wonderful time at Knotty Pine Cabin. We are already looking at dates to come back for a longer stay! We really enjoyed the places you suggested for both hiking and eating out. Sister Cat's is our new favorite place to eat. Townsend was great and so was your cabin. The convenience of having wireless internet was very helpful so that we could keep in touch with our family. We will tell our friends and we will be back!
