My husband and I stayed 2 weeks at this beautiful home. The accommodations exceeded our expectations in quality and comfort. The location is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood with easy driving access to all shopping, restaurants, and activities. The owner is warm, friendly, and wonderful to work with. I would certainly stay in this home again and again.
A comfy beach style house. Ed is very accommodating and answered all our questions. Location is fantastic. Close to groceries, snorkling , and a quick drive to all things. Great kitchen to cook in and lots of space. When you want to relax the lanai is a great place to go. Then pool was so much fun. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Ed we had a fantastic time. Mahalo.
First time to the Big Island and we were fortunate enough to stay in this wonderful property. So comfortable and inviting that we cancelled a couple of our adventure days and stayed and relaxed by the pool instead. Spacious, way more than enough space for our family of four. Interior was open and tastefully decorated. Outside was beautifully landscaped and plenty of fauna (birds and geckos) to keep our boys entertained. Convenient with a Longs and KTA Grocery within walking distance (along with a movie theater and a L&L Drive In if you don't feel like cooking). Heei'a Bay a few houses down and Keauhou Bay (and many activities) down the block. Ed was very accessible and accommodating and a pleasure to talk to. We will certainly be back.
What great hosts we had in Ed and George. I had high expectations after reading the reviews left by other visitors and seeing the pictures of the house. Ed was helpful both on the phone and through email answering my questions prior to our trip. The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, even nicer than the pictures! They even brought us some avocados and papayas from their farm. We had 6 adults in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us. The lanai seemed to be the favorite place for everyone as we found ourselves congregating there in the morning for breakfast and other meals. That’s where the breeze was! The mosquitoes were persistent outside so it was good that we had enough repellent. We made good use of the spacious kitchen, and Ed made a special effort to make sure we had a rice cooker. Mahalo!! George was an awesome resource as we explored the island, giving us tips on places to eat and places to visit. He asked what kind of place we were looking for and he came through every time. His recommendation to eat at Don the Beachcombers on our last night was perfect! Thank you for helping to make this trip a special one for my family! I would recommend this property to a friend or relative and I will definitely call again on our next trip to Kona.
Want to be away from the tourist hordes? This house is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet still walking distance to shops, grocery and a great hidden gem of a cove for turtles. Ed and George greeted us with a warm welcome and answered several questions during our two week stay. The house was very spacious, even more so than the pictures depict. When we come back to Kona, this is the place we'd book again in a heartbeat. The only thing we would have done differently is pay the extra for the A/C - some afternoons can make a house a little warm.
We loved staying in this gorgeous place for our first taste of the Big Island! We (2 couples and one 12-year-old) had way more than enough space to spread out. Loved the screened lanai, swimming pool, roof deck, and open floor plan. Close to necessities like restaurants and groceries, and an easy drive to many great snorkeling spots and other sights. Ed's warm welcome was great and we appreciated how he was available if needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay--we hope to return!!
Our trip to the Big Island was fantastic with the help of staying in a beautiful and spacious home and also the hospitality of its owners. The home is as described and more. We had two families of four (four adults and four children) plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The pool was great for the kids to come home from a day at the beach and wind down with a swim while the adults got dinner and drinks ready to enjoy. A BIG shout out has to go out to George....he made our stay that much more AWESOME! We had lots of questions and he answered all with a quick response by text or phone call. The only a few recommendations......Air Conditioning helped lots for us in July. Maybe having a small cooler to take to the beach would be handy. Other then that it had it all. MOST diffidently will be returning to Kona and staying with Ed and George. Thx again the Hay and London Families.
It is less than 10 minute walk to the Keauhou Shopping Center, with eight
restaurants, grocery store, car rental, post office, gift shops, walk-in medical
clinic, and an 8 screen cinema. It has a wonderful Farmer’s Market every
Saturday morning (pick up your fresh mangoes, papayas, bananas, exotic fruits,
Kona coffee beans and fresh tropical flowers). On Friday evenings they have a
free Polynesian dance performance. There is a big sandy beach with terrific
shallow water snorkeling at Kahalu'u Park just a 10 minute walk away (go early
in the morning to snorkel with the green sea turtles). Surfing lessons are also
available. A 5 minute drive will take you to terrific boogie boarding at Magic
