House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-12)

Save time, gas & stress by not driving up north. You can even keep working if you like, and the kids won’t miss their games! This home has a beautiful beach on private all sports Horseshoe Lake – a great swimming and fishing lake with little boat traffic.

Take a cruise around the lake in the boat, or just sit back and watch the kids swim. The included raft and beach toys will keep them entertained. You are also welcome to bring your own boat if you like - there is a private boat launch just down the road.

This home was built in 2008 and is immaculate. It has a well furnished kitchen and a BBQ. If you don't like to cook, you can have your food and drinks delivered!

The home sleeps six adults comfortably, and can accommodate more if some are children (or are otherwise willing to sleep in a semi-private loft area) Each of the three bedrooms has a king bed, and two of them also have a couch that converts into a double bed. The loft area also has a couch that converts to a double bed.

PRICES AND AVAILABILITY FOR 2013:

PRIOR TO MAY 31, 2013: Sorry, I don't do short term rentals prior to May 31, 2013.

MAY 31 THROUGH JUNE 7, 2013: SOLD OUT! My regular price for this time of year is $195 per day with a 3 day minimum and discounts on stays of 4 days or more (10% off if you stay 4 days, 15% off if you stay 5 or 6 days, and 20% off if you stay 7 or more days). Plus a $95 cleaning fee. Again, I have no availability during this time for 2013.

Why John Urquhart chose Ann Arbor

I have a family cottage in northern Michigan, but I often can't get away on the weekends. I wanted to build a lake house close to my house, so I could use it when I have social commitments that require me to be in town on the weekend. I am renting it when I am not using it to help pay for it.

What makes this house unique

I love that it is just like being on a lake in northern Michigan - but I can be in downtown Ann Arbor or Brighton in 10 minutes.

What a fantacsit time in a beautiful spot!

We all had such an excellent time at your lake home. It was so comfortable and the kids (including the big kid, my husband) had the best time out on the water and playing in the sand. The toys keep the children busy for hours and it was always easy to get them to seep - they loved the bunk beds. It was such and nice and relaxed time with plenty of room for us all. Thank you for sharing such a special place.

Perfect getaway

This summer will be our 3rd time at this lake house in 4 years. All the comforts of home, and then some. Air conditioned when it's too hot, beautiful kitchen, and a great view of the lake. New, clean, quiet, and the kids and grandkids can't wait to jump off the new diving platform.

Fun week at the lake

For a fun family summer vacation close to ann arbor you can't beat this house at horseshoe lake. Our extended family has enjoyed a week over the last few summers. Great fishing, warm water, big comfortable beds, lots of sitting areas. Fun for three generations.
