Great times in Hermosa beach!

Good location, located a few steps from the strand and beach. Plenty of room with nice contemporary upgrades recently. All areas are well-appointed. Hi-def flat screens in all rooms, ceiling fans, lots of blankets and pillows. Jacuzzi tubs in all restrooms AND dual showerheads. Beach towels and regular towels and linens were provided.
If you bring bicycles, a car will not fit in the garage (unless you're super good at Tetris), but tandem parking is available at the property. Boogie Boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, a few beach toys available for use.
Upstairs patio is where the fun is at: plenty of room with a decent view of the beach, a small stereo system is present, but there are outlets on the patio to plug-in your favorite noisemaking devices, in my case an MP3 player and my bass guitar equipment. . During the late afternoon, the sun can blind you in the upstairs living room, but the patio umbrella takes care of that nicely. LARGE BBQ located on upstairs patio with plenty of seating and a table/umbrella. Pet-friendly, the hostess placed a mesh fence on upstairs patio railing to prevent little dogs from crashing to the earth. I would lend the advice to use the provided hose to spray down the patio when you first arrive, as dust and dirt (constant breeze) might get your feet dirty.
The area surrounding the property is rife with options for fun and entertainment. Directly next door is a deli with great sandwiches and sundries. The strand is a dog walker bike rider skateboarder rollerblader jogger runner walker people watcher paradise. The pier contains many bars and eateries, as well and bike/gear rental options.
We visited: the beach, the beach, the strand, the sea lab, the pier, redondo pier, manhattan beach pier, and we took a LOOOOONNG ride to Venice beach (26 mile round-trip by bicycle) and hung out there for a bit. My wife and 11&9 year old girls handled it like champs. You can get almost anywhere with a bicycle, in fact I parked the vehicle when we arrived and didn't start it again until we left.
The rental experience was pain-free and the hostess all the way to the owner of the property were very helpful and kind. Thanks for a great experience!
