The Murphy House is nestled in the midst of the Adirondacks overlooking the beautiful Friends Lake, and approximately 20 minutes to Gore Mountain. A romantic and rustically elegant place, the Murphy House offers warm and comfortable decor, stone fireplaces, deep soaking tubs, showers, and endless outdoor recreation. Some of the facilities of the Friends Lake Inn across the street are available to you; heated pool and pool changing area, walking trails, cross-country skiing/snowshoeing. In addition, reservation can be made for breakfast or dinner at Friends Lake Inn.

The Murphy House: The Murphy House is nestled in the midst of the Adirondacks overlooking the beautiful Friends Lake. Behind both of these rooms is the trundle bed, two twins or pops up to a king. On the first floor is the red daybed room with shower.

amazing stay in the adirondacks

My family and I stayed here as it was a central location for all of us to meet up. The house was perfect! It is very spacious and super clean. The kitchen was the best! Gourmet features all around. The pool and lake were so peaceful and great for a getaway...we went to lake george one day and the museum another...the house is in the middle of everything yet you feel like you are in another country. The linens are beautiful and everything was there that we needed except for the food and wine:) the first day we all went across the street and ate at the inn and had the most amazing meal!! Thank you so much Trudy we hope we can make this an annual event!!

The house is situated on a private lot, very quiet and tranquil. The house is a combination of Adirondack charm with updated amenities, a gormet kitchen, wifi, spa like bathrooms and plenty of space to relax. Each bedroom was well appointed, clean and although it states it sleeps nine with air mattress's we had room for a few extra! Having access to The Friends Lake Inn made for a wonderful time. The pool, billards room, sauna and restaurant added to luxurious accomendations. The Murphy House is truly a gem in the Adironacks close to skiing, shopping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, restaurants and just about anything you desire is within 30 minutes.

Perfect Winter Escape

The Murphy House was more than we imagined. It was a home away from home for my family and sister's family, and our dog! The property and area were absolutely beautiful, and the location was perfect. Tucked in a quiet town, but still it only took us 20 minutes to get to Gore Mountain for skiing. We were also able to use the sauna and great cross country ski and snowshoe trails across the street at Friends Lake Inn, what a great afternoon we had! The dining at the Inn was incredible! We loved our stay so much, we are going back this summer!
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
