The house is a small, charming home from the 1800's. It's right next to a beautiful creek and it's about 90 minutes from Manhattan. The house is about equi-distant between Rhinebeck, Millbrook, and Poughkeepsie in the Hudson Valley. It is located a couple of miles from Omega's Rhinebeck Campus one of the world's premier yoga and wellness centers. This house is perfect for a weekend escape or a couple seeking the beauty of Hudson Valley for the season. This house in the hamlet of Clinton Hollow, on the edge of Rhinebeck. Originally built in the mid-nineteenth century, the house has been recently renovated. Adding to the quaintness, the ceilings are approximately seven-feet high and exposed, original beams can be seen throughout the house. We are sure you will enjoy the house as much as we do!

I lived in this beautiful house for months during the winter. It was so beautiful in the snow, truly a winter wonderland. My golden retriever still gets excited when we go past the street. We made so many beautiful memories playing in the creek and swinging over the waterfall in the huge hammock! Patrick, the landlord, was always considerate and welcoming. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants a safe and quiet haven. The state of the art flatscreen tv and dvds were terrific and the wireless a Godsend! Thanks Patrick...we hope to come back very soon...

We had a wonderful week at this charming, historic house on Wappingers Creek. The owner has maximized the interior space and we really enjoyed the open kitchen and the small office area overlooking the garden and the creek -- it makes it much easier to check into the office email when looking at the turtles sunning themselves on a log and ducks swimming in the creek! Kitchen is perfectly equipped and the bedrooms are quite comfortable. The flower beds and landscaping are a pleasure for the eye! Great location in the Hudson Valley, close to historic landmarks, to hiking and biking, and to local farmer's markets. Highly recommended!

For 25 years, we three women have enjoyed an annual vacation together, going to various rental properties. All have been good times together, yet this year's vacation was wonderfully unique because we stayed at the house on Wappinger's Creek. We love nature and were thrilled by all we saw from the deck of the house. The creek and the marsh on the other side of the creek were like a nature preserve. Within the first 24 hours, we saw deer, muskrats, turtles, chipmunks, ducks, a great blue heron, a red-tailed hawk, and numerous other birds. We especially loved watching the muskrat family during our five days at the house, as well as the heron and the ducks which returned daily. One day we saw eight turtles lined up on one log, sunning themselves. We also enjoyed the man-made sights to see in the area, and the accommodations in the house were very comfortable. Thank you, Patrick, for sharing your wonderful home with us!
