I have stayed in San Miguel on several occasions and have seen several more accomodations. This charming retreat beats them all. I like to have the comforts of home when I'm on vacation and this well-designed rental combines charm with touches you'd be more familiar with in a 4-star hotel. Firstly, everything was immaculately clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I travel quite a bit and almost always end up having back trouble, but not here. Linens and towels were high quality. There are too many great things to mention. High on my list is the amazing patio with fountain.
This place is perfect for 1 or two people and would make a very romantic vacation complete. Everything looks even better than the photos show. Wireless and dependable internet, beautiful bath/shower, satellite tv and a QUIET neighborhood! I stayed closer to the center last year and had a hard time sleeping with all of the church bells ringing through the night. I had the most restful sleep I've ever had in SMA. It's about a 15 min walk to the town center and there are great things to explore nearby and along the way. If you like pastries, there's a pasteleria just around the corner near the small park. If you like cheese, visit La Luna de Queso not far away.
Lisa was very responsive and a pleasure to work with in planning my stay. I hope to come back to stay here every year. This place is truly a unique find!
