Enjoy the stunning views of Healdsburg and Dry Creek Valley from nearly every room of this uniquely modern, yet cozy barn style home. The Modern Barn is located on 2 acres on Fitch Mountain and very private, yet only 1 mile to the downtown Healdsburg plaza....Relax with a massage in the morning, have lunch on the deck, then take a dip in the pool overlooking the Sonoma wine country. If you are looking for something unique, you will love the hip design of the interior, as well as the surrounding landscape.

This private 2 acre property perched on top of Fitch Mountain, is located just one mile (4 mins) from the charming downtown Plaza of Healdsburg. It offers all the conveniences of a modern home with all the comforts of a wine county retreat.

There are many family oriented outdoor activities on the property including a bocce court, croquet, a zip line for kids 6 and under, outdoor table tennis, cornhole, tether ball, a hammock and various tree swings.

The home is comprised of one large room for entertaining that includes a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, a large kitchen island with bar stools, dining table, and living room with a wood burning stove, which all look out over the pool and the views beyond. There are three bedrooms with private baths(king bed, queen bed and a room with two twins)as well as a pull out sofa bed in the library. Each bedroom has stunning views of the countryside. The three bedrooms and their full bathrooms are located upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs along with the sofa bed in the library. The house sleeps 8 people maximum.

The house is perfect for relaxing with family and friends. The location is ideal because it is so close to town and all the favorite destinations of the Sonoma wine country. If you like golf, there is a 9 hole public golf course 1/4 mile away from the barn.

As it is a family home, we do not allow events to be hosted. 8 people maximum can sleep in the house and we have a maximum of 15 people on the property at any given time.

This is a non-smoking house and property. No pets allowed.

I rented the Modern Barn for my birthday..spent the first part with a few girlfriends, enjoyed massages and a chef recommended by Tjasa...lovely...then my girlfriends left and my family arrived and the kids enjoyed the pool, grounds and relaxing atmosphere...everything was perfect and I'm already set to book next year! I just returned from the Modern Barn. It is a delightful home. Perfect for a girls' weekend or a family getaway. I did both in one stay! The first 3 days I spent with my girlfriends from college, lounging poolside, drinking wine, sharing stories. The only reason we left the property was to have dinner in town. It was perfect. As soon as my friends departed my family arrived. The home took on a whole new purpose: adventure! The property at the Modern Barn wraps around a hillside. There are hidden gems around every corner. Rope swings, tire swings, air-pogo, a hammock, ping pong table, even a rustic golf green to practice chipping! Our children were in heaven. HUGE kudos to the property owners for building a home that appeals to folks on so many levels. I will definitely visit again.

My Favorite Place in Wine Country

This home is amazing in every way. My family has stayed no numerous occasions and every time we go, we don't want to leave. The owners have taken such care in every details - we love the stack of fabulous magazines, the wonderful decor and the many outdoor touches - hammock, ping pong, etc. etc... I would HIGHLY recommend this fabulous home to anyone who is looking to escape reality and relax in a beautiful environment. In addition to a wonderful home, the grounds are amazing and the view spectacular. Great job!!

Modern Barn is the Best!

The Modern Barn is a wonderful place and could not have been more perfect for my family and friends. All I could think was “I wish this place was mine!” It feels homey and comfortable but is absolutely beautiful in architecture and style. Our kids had a great time exploring the grounds and trying out each and every game and sport that was available (Thank you for providing them!). We adults felt like we were transported to the pages of a magazine where we made lovely meals together and drank wine on the patio by the pool overlooking the valley vista. Perfection!
