This is the perfect location: Just 1000 feet from the beach and 2 blocks from business district, this original island cottage (modernized & enlarged) is located on Hamlin Creek. 'Creek Living' adds a new dimension to vacationing at the beach. Fishing, swimming, crabbing, kayaking, boating, birding and dolphin watching are all available out the back door while swimming, shelling, sunbathing and relaxing on the beach, surfing and playing in the sand are only a short walk away. Nothing beats sitting on the bank relaxing with a good book while occasionally watching the seabirds and dolphins as they circle and play. It is really a water wonderland. The spacious lot and large canopy of live oaks makes you think you're back in the antebellum south. Rope swings complete the picture. This recently renovated and modernized cottage has retained an 'Island Essence' and offers a perfect location for enjoying nature and experiencing 'island life. Pet Friendly. LINENS NOT INCLUDED.

Owner's Statement : I have lived on the island all of my life. Our 2 boys grew up here moving around the island as we changed life styles from living in a home to living on a boat for 7 years to traveling in our old Air Stream. The boat was docked at this property in Hamlin Creek in between travels so the boys could attend our little island school. We love the island and enjoy sharing it with those who visit. This is our home which we will rent while we travel. We are avid campers and enjoy visiting different areas of this beautiful country and meeting people.

Owner Statement: We love being so close to the beach, but have the added benefit of being on deep water which allows us to boat, ski, tube, crab, shrimp, and fish, as well as swim off of our dock. We can ride the bike or walk to our church, to the Post Office, as well as to restaurants and shops. Then major shopping is only 4 miles away at Towne Center in Mt. Pleasant, or we can go into Charleston(15 miles). There are lots of festivals, wonderful restaurants, and sightseeing even for someone who is lucky enough to call this home. We really love just eating on the porch while looking out on the creek and marshes and sitting on the dock watching the glorious sunsets. We love watching the birds and dolphins play and riding a kayak and drifting over the shallows looking for stingrays and large bass

Perfect ---launched kayaks, watched dolphins and birds, kids rode bikes to family staying over near 11th Ave. and Ocean Blvd, grilled, and visited Charleston. Absolutely excellent time. Perfect!

Best vacation

We had such a wonderful time. Our son had the best time fishing every day. The house is so cosy and comfortable; we felt right at home and our dog Trevor adjusted right away. Having lived on the IOP many moons ago and coming here all the time----I Still consider the IOP "a little piece of Heaven."

Wonderful stay in your lovely home. Thanksgiving with our whole family including my youngest daughter's 40th birthday. Of course all the "Grands and doggies loved the water.---creek and beach.
