Deluxe 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath golf course villa in peaceful setting. Our spacious (1770 sq. ft.) second home inside the Rio Mar Wyndham Beach Resort and Spa is lovely, decorated according to Feng Shui tradition. The tall bamboo trees of the river golf course complete the ambiance of its back porch where you can relax and admire also the El Yunque Rain Forest in a balmy temperature (forget the snow). Inside, the villa is both spacious and inviting, whether you turn on the air conditioning on or enjoy the soft breeze from the sea. The master bedroom is ample and its deep bathtub is romantically inviting. The second bdrm has two full beds capable of sleeping four persons and its own bath. In our golf cart (provided free of charge) you can speedily access our beach facilities as well as the cluster’s swimming pool and kiddie , the hotel’s golf courses, its tennis courts and its amenities, shops, shows and water sports. Outside the resort, is the El Yunque Caribbean Nat'l Forest.

Our Villa is located on the grounds of world class Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico a 30-minute ride from the airport. Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa offers countless entertainment options to the general public. Golf lovers can enjoy two championship courses designed by Greg Norman and Tom and George Fazio. The resort also features a Tennis Club with outside courts available all year round. For some indoor entertainment and excitement the hotel has open to the general public a casino, four restaurants, a spa and assorted bars. Rio Mar Village offers to its residents and guests a swimming pool near the villa and another in the beach club both perfect for cooling off after a tennis match or bask on our sandy beach. In nearby beaches you can experience some of the world’s best underwater world as you snorkel or dive. Old San Juan with its historic sites is a short trip away, and so is the amazing bio-luminescent bay.

Beautiful Villa in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico

My family and I stayed at Jose and Miriam's villa in Rio Grande the last week in June. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The villa was in immaculate condition, spacious and beautifully furnished. There was plenty of extra towels, linens and pillows. Brand new beach chairs for us to use as well as sand buckets for my daughter to use -- she was so happy when she saw them! The double sinks in the master bathroom were great and the huge walk in closet was even better. Even though the villa is on the golf course side of the resort, the beach is only about a 5-10 minute ride on the golf cart that you have access to. Riding in the golf cart was fun!! The beach was amazing!!!! There is a private beach as well as 2 communal pools (one in Rio Mar Village about 2 minutes from the villa and the other is right next to the beach). We preferred the one in Rio Mar Village. Rio Mar Village is only 10-15 minutes away from El Yunque and about 40 minutes to Old San Juan -- really easy to get there. A little grocery store is about 1/2 mile away and a bigger Supermarket (Amigo) is about 2 miles away right next to Burger King and KFC. About 5 miles away is a Walmart and a couple of other stores in the Complex. After relaxing at the beach and pool, we would go back to the villa and have a barbeque in the patio....a great way to end the day. Be sure to get back in before it gets dark as the mosquitos will attack :-) Listening to the coquis at night was so nice! If I'm ever in Rio Grande in the near future, I will be sure to stay here again!! Worth every penny! Miriam and Jose, thank you so much for letting our family stay at your villa. We had a great time and thank you again for the Champagne and Wine!!
