A private waterfront retreat with spectacular views of beautiful Owasco Lake is what our Poplar Cove home is all about. It has all the privacy you need with over 100 feet of water frontage and two acres of level grassy lawn, yet is conveniently located only one mile from the city of Auburn. This spacious home boasts a remarkable open floor plan with large picture windows and three sets of over-sized patio doors that provide absolutely breathtaking panoramic views of the shimmering bright blue waters. The living space has brand new wood laminate flooring, freshly painted crisp white walls, and tasteful modern furniture and decor.

The Finger Lakes region is well known for its wineries, waterfalls, rolling hills and beauty. There are plenty of parks and sites to visit within a few miles, along with the Merry Go Round Theater (live Broadway caliber performances), museums, restaurants and shopping. The quaint historic village of Skaneateles is only five miles to the east and has wonderful shops, restaurants, and scenic beauty. An abundance of golf courses are within a few miles of the home as well. Owasco Lake is a very clean lake for swimming and recreation. Fishing is excellent for walleye, trout, bass, perch, and northern pike.

Outdoors we have an awesome deck with a wonderful 'Sunbrella' awning that can cover about half of the deck if you wish to get a break from the sun. Other outdoor amenities are a gas grill, a table that seats 6, another table that seats 2, and plenty of lounge furniture for your gatherings. There are two docks, one with a boat hoist. Go ahead and bring your own boat or rent one from a local marina and dock it here at the house. We do have two kayaks that you are free to use. The shoreline has a seawall that is about four feet high and the water is usually around two feet high at the edge. The water level gradually goes out to about four feet deep at the end of the longer dock. There is a rather large sandbar you can kayak out to for some play in the sandy water approximately 150 yards to the northeast. Most areas of Owasco Lake have rocky bottoms. Everyone loves our large grassy lawn for kickball, soccer, volleyball, flying a kite or just plain old relaxing by the water.
