Pack your bags and pack your cares away! This sweet cabin is set in a wooded, private, peaceful and quiet location on the east side of Mullett Lake! We call it a 'cabin' because it has that 'feel'...knotty pine/log interior, large stone fireplace, roomy, yet cozy. It is a year round home.
The large master bedroom overlooks the lake. It has a king size bed with a sitting area (couch and chair). The second bedroom has full size bed, bunk beds, and attached bath. The living area has a queen pull out couch and a futon.
Sit on the large lakeside deck, hear the artesian well flowing, watch the kids try to catch the frogs in the little pond just off the deck. Or watch the kids playing in the sand box (stocked with toys), or watch them swim! The water is clean, clean, clean!
At the shoreline, there are a few feet of smooth stones, then a beautiful sandy bottom. No muck or weeds here! You have to go out about 80 feet to get to a 3 foot depth. This is great, safe swimming for little people! The large dock and shore stations are set to the side of the lot so your view is unobstructed. Everything is comfortable!
Backside there is plenty of parking and the basketball hoop. Lakeside, 2 Weber charcoal grills and picnic table. The kitchen is well-stocked (except for your food!) and linens are provided. Just come prepared to do nothing but relax, or to do all the incredible activities that this water/winter wonderland provides.

Tonight is the last night of our week-long stay and, just like all the times here at Mullett from my youth, it's so hard to think about leaving. The cabin is very comfortable and very charming. The lake has gone from smooth-as-glass to three-foot waves crashing over the dock, several times over the week. We're equidistant between Vivio's in Indian River and Hackmatack at the top of the lake (and more!) so dining is no problem. Had we decided to eat in, the kitchen is prepared for anything. As it's mid-October it's perfectly desolate and wonderful but I can see that even in the summer it would still feel private. I would highly recommend this cabin for everything from quiet getaways to rowdy family get-togethers. It's equipped for anything.
This is a great place to spend a week relaxing in
northern Michigan. Mullet Lake is a large, clean,
beautiful lake, great for swimming. We were two
families who shared this home - rented the loft and
slept kids there. Main house is large and very
comfortable. Owners are very friendly and easy to
communicate with. Almost hate to say how great
this place is for fear it'll book up too fast next
summer! Also enjoyed the large dock on lake, and
campfires in the evening. Located between Indian
River and Cheboygan - easy drive to both with
many good places to eat.
