We live in Boulder and enjoy coming up to Winter Park during all of the seasons. Our kids love all of the activities available here and Mom and Dad love it too!
Brad and Lisle purchased this condo in 2007
This condo has been in our family for years. We recently took over managing it, and have completely updated the interior. We love going to Winter Park to ski/board in the winter and to golf, fish, mountain bike and just hang out in the summer!
We like the Hi Country Haus complex because of its proximity to town and the peaceful treed surroundings. The condo owner was extremely responsive and pleasant to work with. We enjoyed the new decor and cleanliness of this two-bedroom, one bath (plus sinks in each bedroom), second-floor, end-unit condo. The wood-burning fireplace was especially nice. We asked for firewood, and the front desk referred us to a wood service that actually delivered. The two grandkids (5 and 8) loved their bedroom with its bunkbeds, TV/player and supply of books and games. The queen bedroom was quite nice, the sofa bed was . . . a sofa bed. TV reception was poor, so we didn't use it. The condo complex swimming pool was still not open, so we went over to the new Fraser Valley Rec Center about a mile away. We tubed at Winter Park Resort (expensive but fun), and sledded at the free sledding hill in town, where the kids had a ball. We had reserved two nights but couldn't stay the second night, so used the day between them to take the handy free bus to the ski area for skiing, and return to have dinner at the condo before going home. The compact, galley kitchen is a one-person operation, and we missed having a dining table, but the counter worked fine, and TV tables provided were quite popular with the kids, as they could eat in their room while watching a movie. There's lots of free parking near the condo and the free bus stops conveniently nearby. We'd certainly stay here again.
Very nice condo in great location. I've stayed at a number of VRBO properties and always find that even in a fully equipped kitchen, there is something I need to purchase. Not so at this property, they had everything, including not one but two pizza pans and a slow cooker. My daughter loved the bunk beds.
We really enjoyed the condo. It was comfortable and had plenty of room for 4 adults (the sinks in each bedroom are a nice plus). It was very convenient as it was about a 2-3 minute drive to pretty much anywhere in the town of Winter Park and only a 5 minute drive to the ski resort. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great value, would definitely return.
Brad and Lisle, boy did we enjoy your little cottage in Winter Park. We had the Grandsons up for a couple of days, and my Grandaughter for a week. We just loved the motife of bears-especially the one next to the fireplace. Your place was laid out just right and was super comfortable.
We especially loved the new tile, it was neat.
The fact that the bus stopped right out front made it convenient to get to the ski village. The skiing and apres ski were just the best. I hope we can get it again next year.
