I am from the Chicago area and have vacationed in Florida since childhood. My family usually visited the Clearwater area. I had never been to Sarasota until my parents-in-law bought their condo in Lido Key. We brought our 8 year old triplets and 6 year old son down to visit grandma and grandpa in 1996 and got our first taste of what Sarasota had to offer. I was a hard sell, as some of my best childhood memories are of Clearwater, but I have to admit that Sarasota, and Lido Key particularly, have totally won me over! The beach is perfect for long walks and there are several places on the beach where you can grab a bite or a beverage along the way. My husband and I try to get down to Lido as much as possible but when we can't be there ourselves-we want others to enjoy our cozy beach place and dig their toes in the warm sands of Lido Beach. Just relax and soak it all in!
We bought this condo from my parents-in-law when they moved to another building a few doors down the beach. They desired a unit that was on a first floor for ease of access and this was a win-win for all of us!
